This came up as a possible answer to a question on member of a company/contract terms? What does Alternative 4 mean? Who is it?
Is this one of my questions on OpenTuition?
Yes, I can give you the full question. It came under the English variant (Mock Test).
I am doing Global but as the MTQs were uploaded to English and about 70% of the syllabus is the same I decided to sit your English one. Hence some of my questions of is this English or Global.
When a person becomes a member of a company it is as though they have separately entered into a contract the terms of which are contained within the company’s constitution. If it is true that they have entered into a contract, then which one of the following is not the other party to the contract?
directors
company
alternative 4
other members
Answer was directors which I put but I didn’t know what the alternative 4 was.
Thanks for pointing this out – it has now been corrected
