Hey,
Is anyone attending Accounting for the future 2021? Has anyone attended it in the past? Is it worth it? Is it free?
Any comments? 🙂
September 17, 2021 at 4:21 pm #6358942021 will be ACCA’s 4th virtual conference “Accounting for the future”.
https://vshow.on24.com/vshow/AFF2021/registration
Aimed primarily at members, it offers up to 20 CPD units – and is entirely free.
After you register for the event you will be able to choose from as much or as little of the program what you want to attend live – and there will be a period in which the presentations are available on demand.
Anyone who is close to qualifying and planning to pursue a career in accounting should be interested in it.
November 25, 2021 at 2:01 pm #641604Hello,
I’ve managed to attend most of the sessions however I was not able to be present on a few. Do you know if there would be recordings or at least transcripts with the slides/resources?
Thanks!
November 26, 2021 at 10:40 am #641685If you use any access to the virtual conference platform you should see that all sessions are now available on-demand – and you can still register for those you didn’t register for initially. When you “launch” you can still download handouts/transcripts, etc.
December 5, 2021 at 8:11 am #642556Hi, is the 20 CPD units from this virtual conference considered as verifiable or non-verifiable CPD?
December 5, 2021 at 8:30 am #642562@kclee93 – welcome to OT forums!
As many units are verifiable as are applicable to your CPD requirements. At the end of watching an hour you should be able to download a certificate of completion with your name on it (assuming you register with your name) and the full title of the unit. You can save this as evidence and it’s a convenient way of recording your CPD using the tool – to refer to the fact that you have a certificate as evidence..
