Accounting certificate for teaching accounting courses?

I have a doctorate degree in finance, but I am teaching Accounting units in my current job. I want to continue the teaching and I am thinking to gain an accounting certificate to boost my teaching career. I have been thinking ACCA for a while but not sure if it is a good choice (worth?) given that I am not planning to work as an accountant.
Any comments/suggestions are welcome.
