April 12, 2021 at 9:21 am #617131Could n’t make it in the first attempt. Flunked @ 47%. So very much disappointed. The paper was easy but did not went good. Cheers to those who made it…
April 12, 2021 at 9:27 am #617133Having failed with the same mark twice 48% in Sept & Dec 2020 this time I got lucky with 55% pass. But I failed my AAA with 36% which is a drop from my Dec 2020 attempt when I got 42%. Despite the AAA unexpected outcome I am in high spirit since SBL is very expense subject.
I still have 3 to go.April 12, 2021 at 9:34 am #617135passed with 72% first attempt

If any one is reading this and needs tips:
(1) Go through SBL notes and write your own notes
(2) Use the technical articles on the ACCA website, they are brilliant for SBL and where to focus your knowledge(3) practise questions, but make sure you apply models and learnings on the scenario. Ensure that you do this properly, as each scenario is different.
(4) Professional marks are easy marks so ensure that you learn how to structure your answers properly to get these easy professional marks. E.g. layout
(5) Understand what the question is asking is key. e.g. Analyse, evaluate etc. It all requires different structure which is explained in the text book!
April 12, 2021 at 11:24 am #617225Hey guys. So i wrote my SBL paper on my first attempt and scored 96 marks. Passed with good marks Mashallah. Hopefully the World Prize.
My most helpful tip is to read the study text at least one time before exams. And also read the model answers given in the revision kit. But most importantly, SBL is a paper of roleplay, meaning you should actually imagine yourself in that situation and how would you address it.
Good luck to all those who are writing next time and my hearty congratulations to everyone who passed.
April 12, 2021 at 11:29 am #617226Passed with 58% – love open tuition! Thank you ever so much for all the incredible work that you do and for the thousands of people you support!
April 12, 2021 at 1:40 pm #617265I passed both SBL and SBR only because of Opentuition. Two left…
April 12, 2021 at 3:32 pm #617280Well done everyone, I passed this (69%) and AFM (53%) after failing both in Dec 2020 which was a bit of a shock.
The professional exams are a step up and require that much more study and practice. Technique is suddenly really important.
April 12, 2021 at 4:35 pm #617285Passed my SBL on my 2nd attempt with 58, after scoring 46 during the 1st attempt. Thank you Opentuition!!
April 12, 2021 at 5:48 pm #61729769%. I don’t how they score it, but I’m thrilled cause I thought I failed. 3 more to go.
April 12, 2021 at 7:09 pm #617307,,The minimum entry requirements for the ACCA Qualification are: Two A-Levels and three GCSEs (or their equivalent). These need to be in five separate subjects including English and maths. To check if your qualifications meet our minimum entry requirements, please check the minimum entrance requirements database.”
You need at least high school. That is in every country at 18 years old.April 13, 2021 at 8:29 am #617361i failed 48%, disappointed. will try again
