For assessing the macro environment of a company what other alternative scenarios, other than PESTEL can be used to analyse the external environment for the next 5 years?

6y ago#1PESTEL seems to be the universal approach in SBL.
I suppose you could alsp bring in scenario planning and regression analysis/time series to estimate future events, bit the input variables would still heavily depend on PESTEL.
5 Forces also deals with environmental influences, though those that are more closely associated with the industry sector eg competitors and potemtial entrants.
