Hi guys,
I struggle to do some questions without scrap paper…. the rules say we are not allowed scrap paper in the exam. I have read about a ‘scratch pad’ but not sure if its in the applied knowledge exams.
My exams tomorrow! please someone get back to me.
Thanks,
Sav
March 10, 2021 at 5:14 pm #614129Please read the information if sitting remotely:
On page 3:
“WHAT ABOUT THE EXAM ITSELF?
For all exams you will be permitted to use blank paper to do your rough workings …. ”Also see here – FAQs re on-demand CBEs:
https://www.accaglobal.com/ie/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/computer-based-exams/on-demand-cbes/remote-on-demand-cbe-info/remote-on-demand-cbe-faqs.html“Can I use scrap paper for making notes?
Yes. Students are permitted 2 sheets of blank paper which they must destroy in front of the remote proctor at the end of their exam …”If sitting at a CBE centre see here https://www.accaglobal.com/us/en/help/centre-based-exams.html:
“Is the use of scrap paper still permitted in centre-based exams?
Yes, you may use scrap paper during your centre-based exam for any notes and calculations.
Scrap paper will be available on request at your exam centre on the day.”January 2, 2023 at 3:27 pm #675307Hi, thank you for all your help. Just wanting to check, has there been any changes to this since? I have read on the ACCA site that paper is not allowed? Link below:
Thanks,

There haven’t been any changes, you are looking at something different. You are looking at “session” cbes and not “on demand” cbes.
