    Hi

I’ve just had confirmation that my application for a graduate role starting in January 2022 (I know 1 year delay!!) has been confirmed.

I’m joining an investment bank in finance as a graduate.

I asked at the interview about courses : qualifications to do in mean time, the finance director said try and get through some of Acca, so that seems a decent way to fill 2021.

I don’t work currently and have financial backing, so if I start now where can I end up in 1 year if I’m studying full time?

What’s the best methods for getting through this qualification quickly?

    How many hours a week?

Best course for passing? (Presumably remote classes only!)

I am exempt from accounting in business so start with FA and MA. How many hours do I need to spend on each?

    Thanks
    Happy Christmas

    Hey and huge congratulations! 🙂

I think there is a restriction on how many ACCA exams you can sit in one year, I heard the number 8 max per year being thrown around somewhere but not sure so check that out, ACCA has lots of info on their student exam pages.

The best way is to focus on practising and understanding, rather than reading, memorising details etc, the BPP/Kaplan books are all well and good, but don’t waste too much of your time on the study texts, focus on the practise questions. Opentuition is great, their lectures are just amazing at explaining core concepts. But you really should get a revision/exam practice kit from either, that will really help.

The number of hours is completely impossible to say, it depends on background, study approach, if it comes naturally to your or not etc. Why not have a go at one module and see how you go.

    Best of luck 🙂
