Anyone got the Section C - Giving early settlement discount vs Factoring? Which was financially acceptable for you people?
AAqil8y ago#62
Early settlement discount was more beneficial.

I practiced so much of IRR, NPV , inflation. As well proxy company. I really wished I got those. Hoping I did enough to pass. If I fail I hope its in the 40's so at least I wouldn't feel as if I didn't know what I was doing. Sigh.. July 16th where are you.

Factoring gave me a net benefit of 60,000 And early settlement discount gave me a net cost.

I had an 8 mark simulation. I thought we were not supposed to have to calc out a simulation but understand what it was. I did s sensitivity analysis on every factor I could and outlined what a simulation was and how it would be useful. Did you do something similar?

@nicksutherland said: I did sensitivity analysis in the final question in Section C (8 marks) where it asked you to do a simulation. I'm unsure if this is right but I think this is one method you could choose so should be okay. Section A was tough.
I did the same as you. hoping thats what they wanted

Anyone did that debt valuation question where the cost of debt was 3% for 6months?
AAnnie8y ago#70
But when do we get to see the paper we wrote as a past paper.
AAqil8y ago#71
In the multiple choice question regarding Islamic Finance, the question stated that any losses are solely attributable to the provider of the capital, which it is features of Mudaraba. Murabaha, its trade credit. That's why I have chosen Mudaraba.

I believe my Islamic finance was different one .. They asked.. He wanted to finance through Sale of goods to customers. So it was murabaha I guess.

AAqil8y ago#78
From study book BPP. practiced with exam kit (BPP) and past exam papers.

Does anyone know if the option to pick the exam you just sat disappears when waiting for a result? For example if you think you had failed and wanted to get the early discount and rebook? I can't see F9 any more... Not that I think I've failed!
