Hi there,
I have been looking for a study provider for the Corporate and Business Law.
I live in Ireland and intend to work here, but curiously, all the schools that I contacted provide the ENG version and not the IRL.
Does anyone know if this is the standard? Should I go for the ENG or IRL? If IRL, does any one know the best way to prepare for the exam?
September 12, 2022 at 5:35 pm #666241I think if you look at the syllabuses you will find them so similar that it doesn’t matter.
ENG (and GLO) are the most popular everywhere because only these are available on-demand.
I believe that LW-IRL is available only as a session exam in December and June.

September 13, 2022 at 7:33 am #666262Someone wrote on another post that there may be a requirement to do IRL LW/TX to apply for a practicing certificate – however, I can’t find any confirmation of that on ACCA’s www and even if it’s true – only a very small proportion of members will eventually find themselves in a position of signing auditor’s reports (for example) – and variants can be sat post-qualification if necessary.
If you want more information at this stage I suggest you ring a local college and ask why they offer only ENG rather than IRL – and/or contact ACCA directly regarding any IRL requirement for membership/practicing certificates https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us
September 13, 2022 at 11:19 am #666274I think there is a requirement to have Irish variant in various ACCA subjects if you want a practicing and audit certificate. Though as Kim Smith indicates these can be sat post- qualification. The link below gives some details-
Hope this helps.
