Passed with 73% first time. Lots of hours studying and revision and countless past papers. Huge relief.

Passed with 64...tricky exam but do-able if you put the revision work in. Just ATX left...

Last exam to complete. Failed second time. I am very disappointed, but not giving up. I need to apply a better approach to prepare for June exam. Any suggestions are welcomed.

I suggest doing all the past papers. It helped me tremendously. Most of what was examined in this session had appeared in past papers. I also read the technical articles a number of times to get comfortable with certain concepts.

Congratulations!!! I failed by 6 marks even though it was fair paper. I lacked some practice and correct approach. Which material did you use for study and revision if you don’t mind sharing ?

Finally passed. Thanks opentuition for the guidance and support

Started preparing late in February. Completed all the lectures of open tuition. Passed at 50 with near to zero practice. After God would like to thanks John for the free lectures

Can’t say I’m surprised to fail again. I feel like I’ve met my match with this exam. I hadn’t failed any other ACCA exam until I hit AFM with only this and SBL left. I don’t know why I’m struggling so much! I really think it’s the hedging part which I completely messed up both times. I got 47% and 44% and know if I’d nailed those I think I can pass! So close but not enough! :(

Thank you. Used the lectures, past papers and technical articles. Didn’t use any of the revision kits or texts.

46 1st attempt (Full complete), 52 2nd attempt (leave 2 1x point question), feel like dream.

Apologies for posting the same question three times. I forgot about the 'quote' button.

This was my third attempt and the first exam I failed so I felt like all my other exams were just due to luck! Felt like giving up after the 2nd time but kept on going as I got 49 (so frustrating!). 3rd time lucky I got 52, close but still a pass! One more to go! Well done everyone

Passed on my second try. On my first try I got 44% and now 57%. For the second try I practiced full Revision Kit questions (total of 80 questions), Mock exam and 2 or 3 past papers. I only have APM left.
Ssoltiex6y ago#22
Thank you, I probably did not spent enough time on either of these.
TLTuan Linh6y ago#23
Congrats, im so happy for you, i have 2 more to go :)

Hi am going to sit this paper in November, for those who passed do y'all think Opentuition is enough? as main tuition provider and please share any recommendation.
MMaciej6y ago#26
Passed all exams first time and AFM was no exception. Definitely one I was most worried about! Finally qualified! Good luck to you all!
VVivek6y ago#27
35%. Not surprised. Have to do a really good job in September. All the best for the re-takers and congratulations for all those who passed.
SStephen6y ago#28
I passed with 65%. Thanks to OpenTuition. Anyone who failed the exam, the single way to pass is question practice. I am 13/14 exams through, I walked advanced tax and SBR but AFM is a hard exam.

I have done TX,AA,FM & AFM all using OT lectures and notes, the technical articles and a BPP Revision Kit. Passed on the first try for all of these granted never above 60marks but I think that's because I don't put enough time into practicing the questions. I was nervous about AFM being my first professional paper and got a Kaplan text which I barely used because I don't have the time. For me OT may not be as technical as an official text but it breaks things down in a way that's easier to understand and gives me a good foundation which I can build on when doing the practice questions. But that's just my experience and I acknowledge everyone has a different experience.

Failed 34%. Considering i prepared a month to exam, didnt answer any of the theoretical questions, only focused on the calculation questions and barely touched Question 1, i consider this a pass mark for me. Perhaps, AFM isn't that hard afterall. Was considering doing APM instead but with this score, i'll give AFM a try in September and perhaps combine it with SBL which should be my last paper. Congrats to all those who scaled through.
