passed in first attempt with 60 marks with 120 hr effort!
3Rd time pass and now AFFILIATE
pass, thanks opentuition!
Pass... Thanks John..you are brilliant..
Disappointing. I failed first time with 33%. However I knew I hadn't revised enough so expected not to do so well. After this I took a full month off for pure revision in November and still failed at 40%. Doesn't make much sense given the time and effort I put in for each exam with an increase of 8% :(
Thank you so much John and opentuition
Pass 2nd attempt 60% soon to be member.
Hi John,
Thanks for providing all the clarification I asked through OpenTuition. I have passed with 83%. Thank you so much for your wonderful support!!
Disappointed ! Failed at 46%?
Please all those who have passed give some guidance
Passed 2nd time with 53%. Thank you OpenTuition for all support. Now Affiliate!
Thank you Mr John your lectures were helpful indeed
Passed, first attempt, 57 marks. Started studying from October, also took four day off before exam. Studied nearly every day. Used bpp, OpenTuition, ACCA notes, technical articles, made about 4 past exams. Also made free mockexam for 81 Mark's (but not within time limit). But the most helpful was 1) Kaplan video about exam technique: write no more then 1-2 sentence per one mark, prepare a good structured report, time management 2) mockexam - I received a very good recomendation from the marker. So my advice: start making past exam as soon as possible within the time limits (4-5 exams), make mockexam, read all technical articles (especially "read the mind of the marker").
Failed 2nd attempt 47
thank you John especially for treasury and advanced risk management techniques topic. Passed at 55
First attempt pass with 61. My suggestions for the people who are going to take the exam are:
1. Make sure to cover all the questions types from BPP kit, fully understand them.
2. Read the AFM technical articles on ACCA website.( Those articles are quite helpful for understanding what examiners are thinking. There are also good techniques provided for how to do questions more efficiently)
3. Make sure you have sufficient time for preparing for the exam.
Wish all of us good luck.
@rimshy said: Please all those who have passed give some guidanceThe is a lot of blood and sweat involved, As well as sleepless nights if you are working a full time job. Get a BPP text and Revision Kit and practice every question in it, And just rinse and repeat. Over and over again. Don't feel lazy or take any chances, This paper is not a joke.I know many who have written it 9 times consecutively. Hope this was helpful. And goodluck with ACCA.

First attempt....passed with 57%
The paper it's not so hard. At the end of the day, it's always the same thing..if you practice a lot, you won't fail.
Of course there are some tricky questions and it's very challenge for the time provided, but the main topics (FX and interest hedging, NPV and so on) are examined in every paper and more or less it's the same scenario all the times.
Open tution lectutrs and notes and bpp revision kit is enough to pass this
Where did you prepare I mean the study material
open Tyrion notes and lectures with past papers are enough to pass ? What you say share your techniques
55%. Thanks John. Much Obliged.
Passed..
