AAACCA AA March 2020 Exam Results – Instant Poll and Comments

Received my AA results passed with 54 mark although I left 20mark question on Internal control.. This was my last exam in order to finish Applied skills level.

Alhamdulilla,Passed with 54% but honestly i thought i would score more cuz the questions wasn’t a big deal,, anyways alhamdulilla and straight to professional levels.

Got 56 on my first attempt, Thought it would be a 70, but passing, even if barely feel great

49, I'm so disappointed. Anyone here ever been successful with an administrative review?

I passed with 68 percent. Honestly the objective questions were really tricky I was quite scared. Thank God! PM and FR left to be done with skills

Don’t waste your money! 49 is the worse feeling I failed AA twice with 49 each time and I passed this session with 58 don’t give up!!

Can anyone advise me how to get pass AA exam?

@Shanna ACCA already has numerous checks and controls in place to ensure marks are correct, so an administrative review won’t make a difference. Just shake the dust and move forward, and you will pass on the next attempt. Never give up!

I got 49% again on my 5th attempt. Still an administrative review not recommended? Very demotivated to continue with this result as i need to take this paper every time with my professional papers.

Alhamdolillah passed with 52%, for those who have failed with marginal marks please don’t give up,make more effort & hard work especially past exam papers (your 90%comes from there). Now F7 any help /suggestions with this exam would be much appreciated.

F7 you need to learn all point, understand deeply all examples in Opentuition lecture and practices.

49% so painful

I scored 48% on the second attempt. I really don't know how I failed. I had answered all the questions, did the revision kits multiple times and here I am, failing the second time. I was so confident that I am gonna make it with 65%+. I am just worried whether my answering techniques are right or wrong and what I can do to improve. I wish there was a way where acca could give us back the answers so that we can see where we went wrong and how to we improve the bad places.

Fail mark 45. Last time it was 35. Feeling bad as I tried a lot this time. Will give one more time in Sept and inshAllah this time with more effort. Congratulations to all the successful candidates and best of luck to all who couldn't make this time, lets try again. Tip: i couldn't make it this time again due to incomplete paper. Inorder to pass this subject its very important to complete your paper. I knew the topics but ran out of time. Practice questions on your desktop or laptop with a timer. Going for this technique in the next attempt.

@Roccoh172 I think you are not using audit verbs in your answers. It is very important to use correct audit verbs in order to fetch marks. While answering audit risk and internal controls questions use correct verbs and plan your answers with Risk and consequence of risk Response and what it will make sure Control deficiency and consequence of that Control to be set and what it will make sure Test of control

Hi Tips that worked for me. I started studying last week of January whilst working full time. I am registered with BPP but I didn’t open my bpp study text for one day. I used Kaplan study text, bpp exam kit, watched video lectures. Studying- Audit risk, procedures, test of controls: there are verbs the examiner is looking out for when starting off your sentences for these topics, especially for audit risk- master them. Bpp exam kit- I covered the bpp kit twice. The first time was to practice all questions (practical and rote learning)and the second time was to practice the rote learning topics only ( these rote learning topics are the easy marks in the theory part). Apart from these, do not cram your text. You need to put yourself in the shoes of an auditor and be practical. Kaplan exam kit- I didn’t have so much time to go through the entire Kaplan kit but I used this exam kit to revise audit risk because that was the topic I found a bit difficult. Practice acca past exam sample questions as well. They are usually more difficult and make sure you revise the answers to understand what you may have done wrong. Practice a lot of objective questions! They can be tricky but practice a lot to know how to identify trick questions. Finally this worked for me- for every theory question I did on all my kits, try to write down your answers on paper. When you review the answer kit for corrections, re-write them on paper( it helps you not to forget) and if possible (I did this to a large extent) use your laptop, open MS Excel and type down your answers in exam format. This will help you test your speed in exam condition. All the best!!!!

Passed 56% on my first attempt! I was really afraid of this exam because it is only writing, no calculations. I didn't have time to go through BPP Study Text. I had 5 weeks to learn AA (working full time) because I decided to attempt this exam at the end of January. I viewed all lectures on Open Tuition, read notes and did BPP Practise & Revision Kit. Thank you very much Open Tuition for all lectures and notes! So far I passed 4 exams with you at first attempt. TX and maybe SBL in September session, I hope exam session in Sep will take place. Failed this exam for the 7th time. Some how I have passed all exams first (Including SBR, SBL & ATX) before this on looooooooool yes people you can't make it up. Keep going I guess haha

Hi Tyra, Could you please share with us the key verbs that we should use in answering the questions? my weakness is the more i read about the sample of answer (from BPP revision kit) the higher the tendency for me to copy the whole sentence. :(

Very disappointed with my results, really thought I had over 50%. Waiting for over two hours to take the actual exam didnt help due to server issues!!!

I gave 2 papers FM and AA. I was expecting pretty good results for AA while not so good for FM but failed AA on 43 and passed FM . I answered questions exactly as they were answered in Kaplan kit. I was expecting 60+. Should I go for Admin review. Any who has personally experienced it? I was given exemption from it but withdrew to appear for BS.

Passed with 71% - very grateful for this score as I found the OTQs extremely challenging on this exam.
