    Hi all,

I have the CIMA mock papers, but the exam I took today was not reflective of the questions as much as it was in 2018- if the syllabus has changed- would it have changed drastically and are the pratise exam questions reflective of the 2019 syllabus too?

    Thank you

    Muney

    Hi there,
    Thank you for your question.
In terms of the differences of your mock paper compared to the actual exam – which mock paper are you referring to? There isnt a great deal of practice exam material which is actually issued by CIMA themselves – so each tuition provider/ mock publisher provides an interpretation of the current syllabus and uses it to create likely exam questions based on a style indicated by CIMA in their tuition provider conferences and demonstrate in the official CIMA written practice assessment papers (https://home.pearsonvue.com/cima/questiontutorials).

There is actually a new syllabus due to be launched by CIMA sometime this year ( 2019). Further details are due to be released over the next few months but changes wont take effect until Sept2019 at earliest
However, up to now, there have been no syllabus changes for P1 since 2015 – so the learning outcomes examined in 2018 should be similar to those tested in early 2019 exams.
There have been a few minor updates to F1 recently but P1 syllabus hasn’t changed at all.
    Hope that helps?
    Cath

Hi there, Im afraid we dont have a support forum specific to the management case study. If you have a technical question you are welcome to post this to one of the E2. P2, F2 forums – alternatively you could try the student forum for general advice.
    I hope this helps.
    Kind Regards
    Cath

Hi there – no definitely no changes to CIMA P2 or any other paper yet – the new syllabus comes into effect in November 2019 – so the exam / notes/ textbook/ case study & our videos are stilll based on current syllabus which is the 2015 version.
    Many Thanks

Hi – Im afraid you’ll need to start a new thread on the F2 CIMA ask-a-tutor page.

I only teach the P1/ P2 papers – so couldn’t comment on the F2 changes
    -sorry

    Kind Regards
    Cath
