FIA and CAT exam dates, booking and fees
Updated 12 October 2026. FIA and CAT exam availability depends on the exam and where you sit it. ACCA controls the timetable and fees, so use this guide to plan your booking and confirm the final date and price on ACCA’s site or with your exam centre.
Which exams can I book?
The core FIA exams are generally available as on-demand computer-based exams (CBEs). You can normally arrange an available date with a licensed CBE centre once you are registered with ACCA; remote on-demand entry may also be available. CAT’s specialist FAU, FTX and FFM exams are held at set sessions rather than on demand. Check ACCA’s exam availability and booking page for your paper and location before making plans.
What should I pay?
- Registration: ACCA charges an initial registration fee when you apply.
- Annual subscription: You must maintain student status; ACCA says the subscription is due by 1 January each year.
- Exam entry: Each sitting has a fee. Licensed centres charge for on-demand exams, so ask the centre for its total price before booking. Other costs, such as tuition or books, depend on your study choice.
Fees vary by location and can change. Check ACCA’s current fees and charges and confirm the exam-centre price rather than relying on an old fee table.
