    Hi there,

Can anyone confirm there are other 3 lectures on Youtube related to Group Accounts SFP (intro, NCI, Goodwill) that were part of an old CIMA F1 syllabus and got removed from OpenTuition lectures of F1 when CIMA updated F1 syllabus? Thanks!

    Good day

Kindly confirm if the calculation of Goodwill using the F.V method is correct for example 4? If it is correct kindly assist in how we got the NCI of R36000.

    Dear Chris,
Please help me understand – sometimes we need to adjust the Net asset of Sub with both Fv adjust and Deprec. adj – see TYU 8 in Chapter 11 from Study text – vs your explanations where we do not take Depr adjust in consideration. (a similar difference is in Test practise # 101 & 106 from Kaplan practise kit). What do I miss? Thanks a lot

Thanks Chris. As self-taught student group accounts are miserable, but marginally less miserable with your help!!

Do you have any lectures/notes that discuss the rationale behind the treatment of impairment of goodwill, differentiating between proportionate method & FV method?
