SBL is very heavily focused on exam technique. So skimming through the course and practicing questions and ultimately mocks as much you can is the way to go.

By the grace of Allah I have passed my SBL exam by preparing for 1.5 months and with the support of your lectures . Thank you so very much . Open tution is a very useful resource for those who cannot afford to study from expensive tution providers . Here i would like to state some points to pass exam .
1) Listen to all the lectures and read all the notes .
2) Try to isolate questions in the revision kit by using open tution notes and solve questions of each chapter completely .
3) Finally solve atleast 2 mocks before exam and you will in shaa Allah ace it .
4) Do try to write in your own words and use some specific terminologies mentioned in notes and model answers in the Bpp revision kit .

Hi. I notice the notes make mention of a 2 year period before an ex audit partner can take up an appointment with a client. Does this 2 year period apply to regular auditors who are not partners, but audited a client then accepted employment from that same client?

Hi OpenTuition Team,
I found a small bug related to SBL notes.
When initially you click to ACCA->SBL link, the notes that appear for download are SBR (reporting), but not the SBL (leader) ones.
Yes, if you click additionally to specific SBL notes link, then you could find them.
Please fix this.

ACCA publishes past exams and answers, but I would advise you to buy an exam lit/question bank from one of the main publishers. You get a 20% discount if you buy BPP books through this site.
Question practice is very important. Also look at the ACCA's technical articles and videos about how to approach the exam.

You do not need a text book, but you do need a revision kit (20% discount on BPP kits if ordered through this site) to provide the very, very important question practice.
You should also watch the ACCA videos for this paper which, for example, give advice on how to approach the various profession skills you need to display. The technical articles on ACCA's site should also be read.

Yes......if there is a June 2020 exam. So many events involving masses of people congregating together (like in an exam hall) have been cancelled because of Covid-19 I wouldn't be surprised if the June exams were cancelled.
Pearson VUE has suspended test-taking at its centres in many countries.

Hello, I would resit for SBL for the third time. 1st attempt got me 44 and 2nd 46. I use BBP books and would prepare 3rd time from these lectures and practice revision kit again. Are these valid still?

I'm sorry, but we know little about the AAT syllabuses.
In ACCA we cover ethics in our notes and lectures for AA (auditing and assurance) and SBL (Strategic Business Leader). You are welcome to use the relevant chapters and lectures.
Note that each chapter has a few on-line questions/tests that you can also try.

You can rely on our notes and lectures for the exam provided you ALSO practise lots of questions. This exam is primarily application rather than knowledge, so practice is vital.

I wanted to express my sincerest gratitude to you for your lectures.
I attempted P3 whilst this was the final exam for June 2018 before removing it and combining it with P1, and i passed.
I haven't sit exams for like many years but when i saw that i would lose P1 if i didn't pass P3 then i decided to take the exam.
You are an excellent tutor and while i had limited time and didn't even solve any questions or past exam papers, your lectures and only those prepared me for the P3 exam.
Are these lectures relevant for March 2026 attempt?
