Another great feature of opentuition, it is helpful to see how questions are being answered. I am really amazed that you are providing all of this for free!
I have a question if I may ask – There was a fall in number of students, yet our market share has grown, can you clarify this point please? I kind of get the idea but it is not really clear, I have always thought that a fall in customers mean a fall in market share and so.
Suppose there are 1000 students in the world, and 100 of them come to us. That means that our market share is 10%.
Suppose that next year there are only 500 students in the world, and 55 of them come to us. That means our market share is now higher at 11% (but the number of students is lower).
THE LECTURES ARE COMPLETELY AMAZING!!SO HELPFUL!I DONT KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT THE PRECIOUS HELP FROM THE TUTORS OF OPEN TUITION. THE IDEA OF ONLINE FREE VIDEOS ON PAST PAPER EXERCISES IS AWSOME! GIVES U THE OPPORTUNITY TO UNDERSTAND THEM BETTER. PLEASE UPLOAD MORE VIDEOS(EG. FOR DECEMBER AND JUNE 2012 PAST PAPERS!!!) THANKS A LOT!

Management decide to reduce ‘freelance lectures’ by at least 10% How can this be linked in evaluaiton financial performance?
Thanks
John Moffat says
Firstly, they are not reducing freelance lectures by 10%. The are paying them 10% less, which is not the same thing.
If they are paying them less, then this (on its own) would increase profit – and therefore improve financial performance.

Hey John,
In regards to the staff training percentage, you stated 64% increase, but didn’t it increase by 163.9% (3396-1287=2109/1287)

The total staff costs is suppose to be 41.663 in 2009 so therefore the freelance will be 14.582.
