I guess what I am trying to understand now is the difference between the OECD Principles and that of the UK Corporate Governance code. Am I right in thinking that the OECD principles is similar to that of the UK corporate Governance code?
I think to a large extent the UK Corporate Governance code is the UK’s attempt to implement the OECD’s principles. The UK code applies to listed companies and the general approach taken is they have to comply with the code or explain any deviations from the code.
