Dear Ken,
I have a slight question, when a company changes it product slightly to meet the requirement of specific segment of the product, so in the case of Ansoff matrix does it have any relation? Product development or Market, if any?
Regards,
Ehsan
If it is only a slight change, I do not think it would figure on the matrix.
Remember, the purpose of the matrix is not to label developmemts. That is rather pointless. It is more,to suggest to companoes how they can increase profit. If a customer asks you to modify a product for them, then that is how you can increase profit, provided they pay for it. It is then irrelevant how they might then classify the change.
