Hi john,
In the examiner report for question 3, the examiner refers to discuss the factors which may affect the content of guidelines in the management of risk. He then says that many students were confused by content of guidelines.Content of guidelines is something that I have never come across. Could you tell me what it means please?
Thank 🙂March 9, 2016 at 7:00 am #304624“Content of guidelines” is not a standard term that needs learning.
All it means is that if you were writing for your staff a list of things that they should consider when managing risk (i.e. guidelines) then what things would you mention (i.e. the content). So, for example, if it was about managing foreign exchange risk you would list all the different methods they should consider (which would include using futures etc. (which seems to be all that some people mentioned – they are derivatives) but also lots of other things such as using forward rates, invoicing in your own currency etc..)
