No problem. I remember it well. I was working in a Sandwich shop when I was a student, and a rep came in with a crate of Dasani and asked me if I’d ever heard of it. He was surprised that I had (but I’d seen it in the US). He prattled on a bit about this new launch and breaking in the UK market, bla bla bal…, left his details and gave us the crate as a promo gift; we added the bottles to the inventory and sold them as normal enjoying the free profit. 馃檪
I’d left the job before the scandal hit the news, and I’m not sure the owner ever bought in any more stock. 馃檪
Coca Cola now owns the Innocent brand instead, and I think that sits a better within their portfolio of ‘healthy drinks’.
They bought Innocent in response to Pepsi buying out Copella because Coke couldn’t stand the thought of Pepsi making a killing in the fruit juice market and themselves being left behind.
