I just love this site, studying accounting subjects (mostly boring) have become much more fun with the wording, flow and examples given by opentution. I always recommend my fellow students about this site.
The flash cards are awesome. In the final revision to the exam, I however have a question. When attempting the questions for section B we are supposed to choose 2 of the 3 questions. Can we do all 3 and will the examiner mark the them and choose the best 2 or will he only mark the first 2?
What you WILL achieve is three poor answers. By definition you will have spent only 66% of the available time so, in picking your best two, in theory your maximum score is 66% of the 50 marks available. And given that you’re probably happy with 60%, your theoretical maximum now falls to 66% x 60% x 50 marks = 20 marks
It’s a classic silly error to make and I can only hope that you don’t try it tomorrow.
I have downloaded the P1notes and started to read on CG. In checking the Flash cards I realised that the questions on thr Flash cards do not reflect in the notes. Why is that. Is there a different version?
Give me an example, please. And don’t forget that the notes are only there as a basis for the tuition on courses so they are not as full / comprehensive as, say, a study text
Thanks for your prompt reply. It could be that I haven’t read the notes properly . Don t worry. There s a question about the ethical dilemma of American accounting association.
how to download it..?
Are you able to download the flashcards ?
No, sorry 🙁
It’s the only way we can keep the site free
Very helpful. Thank you!
So helpful.. Keep up the good work
Great effort by OT team very useful
Thanks a lot . Its helpful. 🙂
This is great, I can see that I am doing something, Thank you!!!
This flash card system is very useful. Thanks for implementing it.
what if examiners asks to list 5 agency costs and i give the examiner 7 points instead of 5. How would the marking be done by the examiner?
It can’t happen in a multiple choice format exam!
but there’re only 5 on the syllabus
