What happened to the old visual / audio lectures? They were much more interesting with student participation, your amusing side comments, worked examples / questions and helpful mnemonics :-). You just seem to be reading notes out here, or am I looking in the wrong place? 馃檨
Further to my post in reply to Kapeergemini, I’ve checked the BPP study text and it says ( section 7 of chapter 3 – from memory ) that changes in equity could be required – or rather, it doesn’t say that it will not be a requirement.
In addition, many of the question 2 type questions – Kala, LLama, Tadeon etc ask for a Statement of Changes in Equity!

I’ve just checked the revision kit – question Hydrate. Admittedly it’s a 2002 question amended and things may have changed since 2002.
I haven’t seen the study texts and I don’t remember Steve Scott saying anything about this at the conference in Manchester in February 2007.
However, if a question doesn’t ask for a statement of changes in equity, then don’t do one! If you ( and BPP and FTCK ) are correct, then there’s no danger that he will ask.
However ( again ), you will need to be able to prepare a Statement of Changes for your P2 exam, so all is not lost and certainly it’s not time wasted – knowing what goes in Statement of Changes will hopefully prevent you from putting eg dividends in the Statement of Income!

Today, I checked out your video lectures of F7. While going through to the first chapter which is Introduction to group accounts, the lecturer was discussing on the marking scheme of consolidation which normally appears as question one in the exams. He stated what would be the marking scheme of statement of financial statements, statement of comprehensive income and statement of changes in capital. I went through the books of Kaplan and BPP, they clearly stated that statement of changes in capital wont be examined in F7. How come he is teaching that irrelevant part? I need to clear this confusion. Help me out.

go to ACCA between Home and AAT then click on F7 Financial Reporting, browse there and u will see the notes on construction contract IAS 11
