please i wrote f1,f2 and f3 on December but when the results came i failed f2 and f3 .i will like to know if it will be possible for me to sit for f2 and f5 this June 2013 and sit for f3 and f4 this December 2013.
Samiihah says
Hi 🙂
yes of course you can ! but you will have to pass f2 first ! Think well before taking f5 or f4 !! level 2 is far way difficult than level 1 (Not saying this to discourage you but any seniors will tell you that ) you will have to work hard !
Besides to take any level 2 paper, you need to finish all 3 papers of level 1 first ! you can take tuition for both f2 and f5 for example..but before sitting for level 2 papers you should finish with f2 and f3 !
I advise you to pay for say like june 2013 for f4 or f5 whatever you wish you can cope with and study well and pass your f2 and f3 by CBE anytme you want !
hope this helps 🙂

Studying is challenging especially if its self-study. Believe you just have to be focused give each paper enough attention. Failed F3 in Dec 2012, sitting for it again in June. Any tips?
flowmatic says
I’ll advice u dont wait till june to re-sit d paper. Focus on the past questions and apply for CBE of you pass it u know immediately that u have to start preparin for other courses for June say F4 for example. Dedicate a whole month to nothing but that revisions. It usually works
saadsula says
can some one sit f2 with another paper not f1 and f3.i have already passed f1 & f3 but failed f2.
pamamadi says
It depends on whether you are a mature student or not. ACCA once told me that mature students have to pass F2 and F3 before taking the skills papers.
I hope this answer your question
Ahmad Masood Faqiri says
Yes it’s possible for FIA (Foundations in Accountancy) student to get appeared in manual papers along with F2 or F3 or F1 if a student already passed 2 of any of these papers. when you log in to myacca there will be an option for you if you have passed any 2 papers of FIA that do you want to transfer to ACCA or not.
rijo says
passed f5 and f6 ….decided to take f7 and f8 for june sesion…..f8 has low pass rates what has to be done to clear f8…….and is their any diffrences june and december sesion ….i find june sesion tightly marked…..

Anyone who has not received the Dec 12 exam results? That was my 1st exam round, not sure if anyone else is also suffering the same anxiety, what is wrong with ACCA… no exam results, can you believe this…
pamella says
I need some help with f3. Can’t seems to get the hang of it. I am doing well with the revision and all but the exams are much different and harder. Need some past papers for 2010 and 2011. They are not on ACCA web site
latoyah says
try getting the bpp i-pass CD i found it helped alot with the first three paper, practing the questions as well as listening to OT lectures were a big help.
akashchattoor says
wweeeehhhh i passed my papers 🙂
samaacca says
If you leave a question unanswered in acca papers or part of a question, do they fail you ? , because i heard that it is the strategy they are going for, because if a student leaves a question , it means he doesnt has its concept clear enough, although i am not sure of whether its applicable if you leave the whole or part of a question .
Can somebody answer this ?
I gave f8 in dec 2012, i m pretty sure that i will pass it with 70% but had a nervous breakdown seeing 41% on the marksheet
John Moffat says
No – they do not fail you for leaving out a question (although obviously you get 0 for that question).
However you should always write at least something for every question. If you leave out (for example) a 20 mark question, then you are only being marked out of 80 (and there is no way anyone is going to get full marks on the questions they attempted). Even if you do not know much about the question, just writing a few lines with get a few marks if it is at all sensible. One or two marks is nothing, but it is everything for someone who otherwise fails on 48 or 49!!!
wanizwan says
I failed paper p1, very narrow to pass. Can i make recheck paper?
wanizwan says
I failed, very narrow to pass. Can i make recheck paper?
qiuxiabowry says
I think you should take it again, you will never get remark on your paper, do not waste your money on review. I try it before, all they do is send me the answers for that paper.
Marts says
Why p7 is the lowest pass rate?
John Moffat says
It is not that there is anything wrong with the papers! Nor is it that they are more complicated.
F5 upsets some people because for many it is their first ACCA exam and they do not realise how hard the ACCA exams are.
F8 causes problems for some people because it is all writing – many people prefer calculation papers and do not like writing.
All of the P exams are difficult because they are set at a high level.
As to why P7 has the lowest pass rate – it is simply that fewer people managed to get 50% or more than in the other papers!!! Obviously there will always be a paper with the lowest pass rate just as there will always be a paper with the highest pass rate!!!
The examiners reports will give you an idea of where people were losing (or gaining) marks.
cristina85 says
i falied F8 by 8 marks, thought i passed by 70 %….is very disapoitting and F5 another nightmare !good luck to all of us !
Marts says
Thanks johnmoffat. I personally feel that examiner report p7 (ie commentng on ineligible hand writting, not enough points etc) is very general and cannot address specific issues. I have observed for the last three years that the examiner report says same things. How student knowns their genuine mistakes where ACCA can’t provide specific comments to individual exam script? So disappointed for failing seval times on p7, last paper.
John Moffat says
I agree that it would be useful if the ACCA could provide specific comments on individual scripts, but unfortunately they will not (and I don’t think that they ever will 🙁 ).
musema says
CIMA does provide individual comments and releases results faster than ACCA
rayyan6050 says
I passed P7 in the dec 2012 attempt (my first time), didn’t really get what P7 was all about. I could hardly find anything in the syllabus that wasn’t there in F8. As an Advanced level audit exam, there should be more depth to the exam. I studied for P7 for 1 day, that’s it. I didn’t get time and all i did was read the OT notes that were around a 100 pages. Although i did take classes for the paper. The paper was like a theoretical version of P2, where i found myself giving references of IFRS’s n IAS’s. Honestly speakng, i found F8 to be tougher, a wider syllabus with far more knowledge based questions. Admittedly, the P7 exam does make you think practically as an auditor would, but i still think there is a lack of depth in the exam when it comes to designing specific Audit procedures for individual IAS issues. The syllabus should have a more clear outline, with focus on procedures for different accounting standards.
Sangria9 says
What is wrong with some papers? )) F5, F8, P4&P5.. Are they so complicated?..
usman93 says
yes..you can say….
cd7678ddba says
I passed F5, i dont think it was cmplicated, i ony spent one week to prepare for it, although i did not get a high mark,as Q4 i didnt know how to answer it….
zubioo7 says
one week well dats not possible f5 is not dat kind of paper in which u just open book and kit and went to give a pass paper Ann IRON is a kind of examiner who wants u to cover every inch of the syllabus the thing is u FAILED TO PREPARE ,PREPARE TO FAIL
greenzstarr says
i totally agree…i think its a bit self overating for anyone to give the impression that you can prepare for any ACCA paper in one week. Thats unrealistic and does not suggest that you are intelligent. Any genius knows that one must prepare for an exam. You need not only know its content but also understand. We must be very careful not to give people this false impression.
rayyan6050 says
You can pass an exam in one week. Trust me. F1: 5 days. F4: 7 days. P1: 8 days. P3: 6 days. P7: 1 day. All in first attempts.
yaohelen says
It’s just that you are lucky enough in that exam, one week preparation is not possible to pass the exam….
beyagala says
Some of you deceive others, honestly you cant prepare any ACCA paper in one week.
ridwaansheikh says
you have reason my dear…..
cristina85 says
yeah i find them v difficult!
zubioo7 says
well dont know ann iron makes it very challenging in the exam i got 44 i feel soooo bad cant open the same f5 book kit cant sit this paper is so threatening when i was making my way to the examination hall i was very scared
latoyah says
i got the same marks, knew it would be a mircale if i passed after seeing the paper because at least two if the questions on there would have been a challenge for me. I thought it was a fair enough paper but i was fully prepared i thought they would be coming with some harder stuff and focused on those and forget the other ones as i thought i has those locked who knew that a CVP question could stump me and the rolling budget question.
