  9. Hi I failed ACCA P1 with 44 marks, I was confident that I’m going to pass even though I did not attempt questions worth 20 marks. Can I get my paper to be remarked and what are the chances of getting the 6 marks I need to pass if my paper is remarked?what do I need to do for my paper to get remarked?

    • My tutor at the BPP in Bristol for F9 is also a marker for the same paper,
Many of the students asked the question if it was worth asking for a remark of paper if you fail to see if you can gain any extra marks,
She said no, there is such a strict profile for them to follow the chances of you gaining an extra 6 marks is slim,
The majority of the times if the paper is between 42-49 then it is already remarked and any extra marks allocated, Chances are two markers viewed your paper, My opinion is it would be a waste of your money,

  10. i was not successful in my dec attempt i took f5 and f6, i currently work in public practice and want to take f8 and resit f5 in june 2013, is this a good idea?

  11. Hi

  12. Hi everyone,
    I took F5, F6, F7 last Dec 12, passed F6, but failed my F5 & F7:(
Please advice me what to take in june13. im really confused now…

    • Sorry that you were not succesful with F5 & F7, you already have a knowledge of these subjects having studied and sat the exams, you shoud go over your materials and the OT lectures and re-sit both in June. Would be a shame to waste the hardwork you have already put into these papers. Good Luck :)

  13. can anyone tell me that if it is necessary to complete professional ethics module to be converted from FIA to ACCA.

  14. I wish to take P2 and P3, but because of the closeness of the exam date that is monday and tuesday , I was thinking I will not have enough time to revise for the other paper the following day.

  15. Which studing material should I be using for me to achieve what I want(ACCA)?

  16. Is bpp a right book to use for ACCA?

  17. Need help, i want to sit f5,f8 and f9 this June, hows the combination or maybe i should follow their best paper combination as above.
    Thanks and regards.

    • I just sat F5, F9 and F4, Thankfully passed but it was difficult,
Both F5 and F9 are meaty papers with a wide syllabus and an equal split of numerical and discursive elements
These papers are enjoyable to do, but a massive amount of data to process over a few months,
Do them together if your confident on the more advanced scientific calculator functions.
F8 was quite simple in my opinion, as the exam structure was predictable and if you use the BPP they give yoiiu the best way to lay out the answers to gain the simple marks normally lost,

  18. Hey guys to pass ACCA Professional Exams you have to start thinking like you are the one setting or going to set the paper. All those in ACCA final lets gear up.Wishing all of you the best. James-Lusaka(Zambia)

  19. I got exempted in F1 – F3 ..Taking F4 – 6 This time..Is it a good combination?

  20. I’m planning to do F4 and F8 for June 2013 exams. My work are pushing me to do the Audit unit sooner rather than later. What’s everyone’s opinion on this combo? I initially wanted to do F4 and F5 but to keep work happy (they are paying for it) I feel I should do as they ask.

[Some background - I am exempt from F1 - F3 and this exam session will be my first time studying for the ACCA qualification]

  21. i’m doing F4 F5 F6 this semester, what paper should i take next semester until P papers?

  22. I’m thinking of taking f7 & f9 by june 2013 is it a good combination? Pls i don’t want to make any mistakes.

  24. i am taking f4 n f6 for this session is his good combination?

  25. Anyone tried taking F1,F2,F3,F4 together? How long it takes to prepare for F1,F2,F3?

  26. F4 is my first exam on ACCA and I ‘m not English native speaker. Do you think it’s a good idea to combine it with F5 or F6? Thank you.

  27. What do you guys think about the professional papers?

From what I have read of the syllabus so far P1 and P3 go together, and P2 and P7 go together since they are heavy on calculations and safeguarding/ethics details.

  28. I think students must do one theory and one calculation paper in each session. i had given f1,f2,f3 in one session, then f4,f5, then f7,f6,f9, then p2 & f8 then, p1,p3 & p7. Now i just have p5 left and this has been a great combination of papers for me as they all are cleared in first attempt since i did not mix the topics or calculations coz the subjects were very different from each other and never did i get bored coz i was studyiing variety, calculation & theory both.

  29. I have just completed F4 and F5 and am now considering what to do, I was thinking of trying F9 (Financial Management) and F7 (Financial Reporting) in June 13 and F6 and F8 (Tax and Audit) at this time next year. Anyone tried these combinations, if so how did you find them?

    • @celticking76, I plan to just count. 6 and 7 June and 8 and 9 december. i was told that they all connect so knowledge from tax and fin man help with the next two. I dont know. I wanted to skip tax for now but i figured its best to follow the advice given.

  30. Hi!!!!!!!! need some help.which is best f7 with f8 or f7 with f9?

  38. so what do u suggest cos have written f8,f9,p1 last diet, hope to pass it in december and am going for IFRS training so i suggest i sit for p2 for better understaning of the IFRS training.

  39. i am just rewriting f7(got 47%) and writing f9,hope its the best combination, trying to start the learning and studying at the same time, hope to finish the part two and move on to the professional level.

  40. Thanks for excellent ACCA support and well organised notes and other studying materials.

After studying ACCA combination how can i sat for exams?

  41. i have choosen F4, F5 and F7 for december 2012 exam.

  42. i will have the first time for acca exam in december,

  43. will like to no if the following combinations are okay: f8, f9, p1, p2

  44. ive currently finished all subjects from F1 – F8. Whats the best Professional level exam to do with Paper F9? Need some advice guys :)

  45. Does anyone have a good 3 paper combination for the following exams: F5, F6, F7, F8 & F9. I’ve pass F2 – F4 and want to sit another 3 in December…..would I be better taking them based on the schedule of exams in December or mix matching with essay based and number based exams??

  46. I say P1 & P2, you need a text paper to break the calculation sometimes, and P1 can be quite dry so you need the challenge to P2 to get by. P3 is best done on it’s own I find. P7 & P6 are best done together, but you need to commit more time to P6 because the syllabus is tooooo content heavy! That worked for me :)

  47. Please give suggestion regarding the F8 and any other professional papers combination….

  48. i took f5 b f8 for december 2012

  49. P1 or P3. P2 requires much more time commitment. Among P1 and P3 depends on your strengths. I loved business analysis as I have worked as an analyst so I think I spent 1 week on it. But if Business analysis is not your thing, P1 is the best choice.

  50. Kindly provide best combination for Professional level.
    Thank you.
