I would like to consider P5 and P4 (OR) P7.Of the two P4 and P7 which should be better choice from passing exam angle ?
Hi I am thinking to take p1 and p3 in June this year how much time for preparation each paper need and is Bpp course notes and revision kit enough,i m doing self study no classes.

it is allowed, just make sure you get through with f3 CBE before the f5 paper.
Hello, I wanted to sit for both F3 and F in the June exam and not not taking CBE for any, is it not allowed.

yes….. i think u should First take only 2 papers ,, If u r beginner in Manual or Paper based Exams.. and i would prefer F4 AND F6 .. then In December should Take F5,f7,f8

Hi I failed ACCA P1 with 44 marks, I was confident that I’m going to pass even though I did not attempt questions worth 20 marks. Can I get my paper to be remarked and what are the chances of getting the 6 marks I need to pass if my paper is remarked?what do I need to do for my paper to get remarked?
My tutor at the BPP in Bristol for F9 is also a marker for the same paper,
Many of the students asked the question if it was worth asking for a remark of paper if you fail to see if you can gain any extra marks,
She said no, there is such a strict profile for them to follow the chances of you gaining an extra 6 marks is slim,
The majority of the times if the paper is between 42-49 then it is already remarked and any extra marks allocated, Chances are two markers viewed your paper, My opinion is it would be a waste of your money,
i was not successful in my dec attempt i took f5 and f6, i currently work in public practice and want to take f8 and resit f5 in june 2013, is this a good idea?

Sorry that you were not succesful with F5 & F7, you already have a knowledge of these subjects having studied and sat the exams, you shoud go over your materials and the OT lectures and re-sit both in June. Would be a shame to waste the hardwork you have already put into these papers. Good Luck
can anyone tell me that if it is necessary to complete professional ethics module to be converted from FIA to ACCA.
I wish to take P2 and P3, but because of the closeness of the exam date that is monday and tuesday , I was thinking I will not have enough time to revise for the other paper the following day.

BPP is much more comprehensive than Kaplan
i have used both bpp and kaplan and find bpp a lot better

I just sat F5, F9 and F4, Thankfully passed but it was difficult,
Both F5 and F9 are meaty papers with a wide syllabus and an equal split of numerical and discursive elements
These papers are enjoyable to do, but a massive amount of data to process over a few months,
Do them together if your confident on the more advanced scientific calculator functions.
F8 was quite simple in my opinion, as the exam structure was predictable and if you use the BPP they give yoiiu the best way to lay out the answers to gain the simple marks normally lost,

I do not know many papers you want to sit for & which ones ,if its three i would advise you sit any three from F4-F6.The last combination should involve F7,F8.Wishing you the bset

I’m planning to do F4 and F8 for June 2013 exams. My work are pushing me to do the Audit unit sooner rather than later. What’s everyone’s opinion on this combo? I initially wanted to do F4 and F5 but to keep work happy (they are paying for it) I feel I should do as they ask.

yes ,, i Would say it is Best Combination
F4 and F8 are both heavy theory papers, so if you like those then you might want to go with those two else try a theory and a computative paper like F5 or F7.

F7 and F9 combination is not too huge as long as you can arrange the time to study the core knowledge in both papers.
You can not attempt P1 unless you have the exam fee of F9 paid.
I would advise you to clear F7 & F9 then proceed to P1.If you pass F7 & the other one not done you can sit for F9 & P1 like i did the last sitting.

F4 is my first exam on ACCA and I ‘m not English native speaker. Do you think it’s a good idea to combine it with F5 or F6? Thank you.
For F5 first take f2.. F5 is the advance level of F2..
You can’t skip to F4 without validating F1-3 or being granted exemptions for them. If you can indeed sit F4, then it’s an easy paper so perfectly fine to combine with the cumbersome F5 (often balance of calcs and essays) and/or F6 (mostly calcs with a million tiny bits to commit to memory). Don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any help anytime for these and any papers up to P3, excepting P2.

From what I have read of the syllabus so far P1 and P3 go together, and P2 and P7 go together since they are heavy on calculations and safeguarding/ethics details.
i think so too. P1 talks about corporate governance and blends well with business analysis, P2 and P7 from F7 and F8, go well together
I think students must do one theory and one calculation paper in each session. i had given f1,f2,f3 in one session, then f4,f5, then f7,f6,f9, then p2 & f8 then, p1,p3 & p7. Now i just have p5 left and this has been a great combination of papers for me as they all are cleared in first attempt since i did not mix the topics or calculations coz the subjects were very different from each other and never did i get bored coz i was studyiing variety, calculation & theory both.
@sana260, did you take P1, P3 and P7 all together in one go? If yes, how much time did you spend on all three papers? Did you finish P2 & F8 say in June and then P1, P3 & P7 in Dec in same year? Thanks.

I have just completed F4 and F5 and am now considering what to do, I was thinking of trying F9 (Financial Management) and F7 (Financial Reporting) in June 13 and F6 and F8 (Tax and Audit) at this time next year. Anyone tried these combinations, if so how did you find them?
@celticking76, I plan to just count. 6 and 7 June and 8 and 9 december. i was told that they all connect so knowledge from tax and fin man help with the next two. I dont know. I wanted to skip tax for now but i figured its best to follow the advice given.

F7 & F8.The reason is simple ACCA will either make you pass both of them or make you fail both them.Nevertheless i passed the same combination.However work hard & you will make it as i made it the June 2012 sitting.

that’s not true. i passed F8 with 63, but didnt make F7.

@kappa007, Write F2 and F3 first if you were given F1 as exemption. don’t jump to F4-F9 they will discourage you. get used to the exams with the first papers then you can think of combining others

@kasthury86,In AccA every paper is difficult and every paper is Easy as wel……The main Aim is to pass 14 papers……But if need some relief for this atempt ….. i think for 2 papers….f4 and f6 is the Best combination which needs less struggle and high chances of pass………..

ive currently finished all subjects from F1 – F8. Whats the best Professional level exam to do with Paper F9? Need some advice guys
@thiva, P1, as it is a very light paper. F9 syallabus is quite large and can be heavy going at times.
Does anyone have a good 3 paper combination for the following exams: F5, F6, F7, F8 & F9. I’ve pass F2 – F4 and want to sit another 3 in December…..would I be better taking them based on the schedule of exams in December or mix matching with essay based and number based exams??
I say P1 & P2, you need a text paper to break the calculation sometimes, and P1 can be quite dry so you need the challenge to P2 to get by. P3 is best done on it’s own I find. P7 & P6 are best done together, but you need to commit more time to P6 because the syllabus is tooooo content heavy! That worked for me

P1 or P3. P2 requires much more time commitment. Among P1 and P3 depends on your strengths. I loved business analysis as I have worked as an analyst so I think I spent 1 week on it. But if Business analysis is not your thing, P1 is the best choice.
