Good info for sharing. How about professional level?
i understand your desperation. But if u get 49%, and one month later you resit and get the same or less, what will you do. the six month in between will help you start the whole subject including what u know best. Believe me, u will see the whole subject in a different way.
take the subjects as a passion, new understanding and not a way of passing exams and moving on………..
all subjects are Kind of Connected.
if u cover F1 untill f9 , u are going to realise how connected they are.
the way F1 To F9 is arranged. The core structure is just perfect.
This people who did this arrangement for two timed period they thought about those settings.
IF THEY WILL DO WHAT U WANT; TO RESIT THE EXAM AFTER TWO OR THREE MONTHES; THAT I WOULD HAVE CALLED MONEY MAKING:
so stop analysing their arrangement, analysed what you are going to do to reach your goal.
Thank you for reading
exactly blub…. i have decided to take F4 5 6 together and later F7 8 9 together. that is one of the best option among others
i was wondering isn’t is best to do the Management papers together? I was considering this combination : F4, 5 and 9 and then F6, 7 and 8. does this sound logical or workable? please i need feedback asap
i’m doing F8 and F9 in June just to clear my level 2 papers. will a combination of P1, P3 and P4 in Dec exams be good. I don’t want to do 1,2 and 3 together because i noticed those papers are back to back thus no breaks in between. How does this sound? (just thinking ahead)
the trend of combinations seems like people are like to take F4,5,6 or F7,8,9, which is exactly the same as official recommended combinations. No information at all!!
best of luck go 4 may u get sucess
We are tired of this very conservative way of doing things why can;t there be atransparent way of giving feedback such that people can always know the areas to improve in. With the current system one can not know where he/she needs to improve by just getting back your 49%. Secondly why can’t there be a resit period for those people who fail papers instead of waiting for more six months still ACCA will be getting it’s money.
Agree completely with the shorter period option for a resit exam, however I feel the main blocker on this will be BPP and Kaplan, who make a lot of money from the course materials and lectures, even the resit tuition goes into the hundreds. Can you imagine the loss they would have to take if the resit option was made availble?
However for students, it would certainly improve the time taken to qualify, i hope ACCA listen to their students and take this into consideration.
Unlikely though!
i am interested in what this person said
wat about a survey so students can vote onthis.
i am sure a lot of students will support this
This is the referral to ACCA

Hi there
Time is running very fast and competition is on unavoidable now a days.
ACCA unlike other qualifications (American) take long to qualify due to its
exam polices, because student has to wait for next 6 months to attempt
subject again (failed paper). ACCA is the most growing professional body from all over the world, but its exam polices and way of exam is still on 20 years old
parameters. I started ACCA in 2007 and doing job, till now I am unqualifed
because of system of exams. Number of attempts MUST BE more than TWO in a
year. So, I request you to please consider to change exam pattern in
following way:
Student which has failed in June or Dec attempt, should be allowed to clear
that paper within two weeks or 40 days INSTEAD of waiting for next time.
This can save precious time of student. Consider and forward my requested
to concerned department.
@sharlene20, i absolutely agree
@sharlene20, Sir I totally Agree with your opinion .. Wish to see such policy change in ACCA
@sharlene20, I’ll co-sign this. I hope such policy is introduced.
Hafeez you are right
.ACCA’s exam policies are not good.im tired i cant wait for 6 months everytime
what if I take F2 & F5 together. Do they need much time as I’m full time employed?
my last paper from F is F9. Can I add one more from P so that to make them 2
i have got 4 papers to go which is p1,3,6,7 i chose these combination so what if i give them in this attempt or u recommend me 2 and i can devote 12 hours for these as i am free all the time , need your opinion wit this regards , tnxx
Agree with Hafeez and we are thankful that OT can provide the forum for us to share and would appreciate any support they can give.My real life scenario – Started ACCA yr 2000 – still not qualified by ACCA stds got promoted from Accounts clerk to Manager in a financial institution over the yrs. Have to resit 4 papers – scores range from 41 to 49. Currently there’s no alternative but to begin revision from all over due to syllabus changes.
suggestions: ACCA can introduce a resit exam in a shorter time or sent students their marks per question for us to know where we fall short of the pass mark. This can be a guide to help us improve and it would be consistent with transparency.
what about professional papers combination?
P level combo???
Thanks OT, for all your help, will continue to use
dear admin?
I need your help,can u advise me if f8,f9 and p2 is a good combination,f9 is a resit for me,i lost by 5 marks?

find P paper a bit tough ..what is the key to pass it guys .,got 48 for P2 …terrible..

Hey hafeezjaved
You should email ACCA with your sensible idea,
We do not work for the ACCA, we work for students only
@admin, Is it possible for Open Tuition to run a survey/poll to see if we can persuade the ACCA to change their exam sittings so re-sits can be done sooner? Luckily I havn’t had to do a re-take, but if I did I would be very frustrated at having to wait six months.
Yes we can and will run a poll/survey about it, thanks
@admin, I think Hann and Hafeez are right.. Can OT not run a poll and try and persuade ACCA?
@pankajvs, hi, yes indeed we can run a poll. and send the results to ACCA,
don’t think ACCA will listen, not even sure, how many students will support it, but we can try.. in a few days expect to see the poll,
if you like, reply here, with your suggested poll question, and choices..
@admin, Thank you sir for considering to do this. It will greatly help all ACCA students who need to resit papers. I am sure with over 120,000 registered users quite a chunk will want this to happen and will vote. As for ACCA it will also be worthwile mentioning on the poll that students can second your survey by choosing the suggestions and also directly writing to ACCA through their myACCA emails.
This is just a suggestion.
Thanks!
Can anyone help me will sit for p2 and have resit of f6 for just one mark what else can I attempt pls?
passe 4 acca papers P1, P2, f5 F9 whats next now plz help
What about P1 and P7?
@faisal892,
Hi, I am thinking of doing the same ? Have you got a reply to this yet ?
Thanks
Thank you this survey is very helpful.
I’m currently taking F9 and F7 (they are very 1st two courses of mine in ACCA). So guys do have any advice for me especially regarding F9?
is it possible to take f1,f2,f3 and f7 together?
p1 and p3 are the better combination
Thank you very much open tuition. So far have only made use of the F5 lectures and they are great. Keep up the great work.
how about f5 & f7?. need help.
Very helpful am going for F5 and F6
What about the P papers? Can a survey be done about the best combination of P papers that can be done to improve your success rate?
Gd iadvise, going 4 f8 & f7 now………………
Very nice, P1,P2,P3 are the best combination
I Love your site and all its contents. I’m still struggling with F8. This is the only paper left for me in the Fs series. Need your help.
I mean how can some of us fund your site? you are doing extremely well. Keep it up.
@casper1981, We do not accept donations, however, the best way to help the site, is to spread the word, so all students can benefit,
replying on the forums so it helps all students is also great way to keep this site alive
Nice one. You are doing so remarkably well. I can some of us fund your site? we really want to. Cheers.
Why cant people with helpfull comments just keep quiet rather than post such comments like “rubbish” and the likes. If the information aint helpfull to you, this doesnt mean that it applies to all. Funny that some appreciated this information and will base their decisions on this survey.I personally didn’t anything against this initiative though I am now at Professional stage. These guys have been doing much for us for FREE, if you think about.
Thanks a lot guys for your stuff. I give credit to you for most of my success in ACCA.
great stuff but i cant see any P’s combination with F’s
Useful and Very helpful information. Thanks for sharing
Still failing to download the notes; anyone to assist….
The paper combination looks helpful…
Thanks for the survey.
I have 4 papers left: F4, F7, F8 & F9
Was thinking of doing F9 & F4 in June, which scores a really low 6%
and doing F7 & F8 in December, which scores average 36-38%
I was wondering why F9 & F4 is so low? Could it be because people tend to sit the exams in order?
@gala1905, yes, this is possible explanation,
because F9 + F8 scores very high the survey..
well, survey is the opinion of other students, you should do what best suites you
@gala1905, I think people responded to the survey in a way that reflect their usual way of taking the paper. Very unusual for people to take F4 and F9 but I can tell you that it is a good combination. F9 + F8 scores so high only because they are close and people tend to do them together but that does not imply any correlation.
I can tell you the order you have chosen is quite good. F7 & F8 are related then you can also take F4 & F9 easily though they are different but also a nice blend
i will take F9 for june 2012 and i want to take one more ppr in “P” series then what is best option for me?????
@ummi92, Use common sense,
it’s not your first exam. so you should know by now
check the syllabus. watch free lectures for these exams,.. check past exams, and you will see which will be easiest for you to pass in one go..
How anyone can advise you without knowing what are your capabilities??
some people prefer numbers.. some prefer written,. are you hard working? how many hours can you spend every week…. list can go on…
I am sure, your question has been already posted on the forums.. search and you will find it, if you can’t you can always post it yourself.. and other students may give you their opinion.
@admin,
I would advise that you take P1 as it is a theory paper and not as wide as F9. Hope it helps you.
thanks
gud info
Combination for the Professional Papers?
exteremly rubbish
where is the combination of “P” series???
@ummi92,
The purpose of the survey was to help new ACCA students!
P level – was not on a survey, for obvious reasons
You have to take 3 compulsory papers and then any 2 optional that best suit your career. so, take whatever rocks your boat!
When you take P levels, you should know which combination of papers will be the best for you… this is not the survey for you… move on!
totally rubbish…
@myaccca, maybe.. but it’s more informative, than your post!
@myaccca, Dude if you got nothing important to say don’t say it! OT is trying its best to help students for free.. One of the principles of ACCA is professional behavior and your post shows otherwise!
Thanks, really needed the help
Very Helpful
