Is there a way of downloading the lectures? I’m going on holiday and wanted to watch them why on the plane!
Brilliant lectures @John
Please let me know whether the OT notes cover the recent change in the syllabus? I’m so confused :/
Yes – the course notes do cover the change of syllabus.
Although certain topics have been deleted from the syllabus (such as basic variances) they are still examinable and have only been deleted because they are assumed knowledge from Paper F2.
The only new topic is the last chapter in the course notes..
Thank You so much!
I have Heard today they have removed, correlation, regression, n time series from tha june 2013 syllabus n have added another chapter, Could you please let us know about it. it was just recent update
The change was announced last year!
Regression and time series have not been removed – they are now assumed knowledge from Paper F2. YOu will not be asked calculations but you are expected to understand what they are.
The same applies to basic variances – they are assume knowledge from Paper F2 – but you can still be asked some of them (and you need to understand them anyway to be able to do planning and operational variances).
The course notes include an extra chapter on management information.
Thank you very much Sir. Since My lecture Told It will not be Asked in june 2013, I have completely ignored, but now I will refresh my mind in this as well without any risk. Thank you for the Time which you took for the Reply. Ur the Best lecture I have ever seen in my life N the best reason is the way u explain it make sense how or why we do it like that in management. Opentiution Is the best
Y is it blank ?? and the voice is even not clear with the headphones…
hi june 2013 will be my first attempt at acca f5.i’ve downloaded the course notes and have a rev kit,is it enough for me to pass f5 in june2013?
The more you read the better (because there is a lot of writing in the exam – not just calculations).
However there is enough in our Course Notes to be able to pass the exam well, provided you really understand everything and do not just learn rules without understanding.
You must practice as many questions as possible to get used to the style of the exam and the level required.
Work through all the questions in your revision kit and pay special attention to those that are past exam questions.
Great Introduction……:-)
i want to ask something if i just take your lectures and read your notes is it enough for me to pass??or should i go through the book also??
you need revision Kit.
After you have watched lectures and learnt the topics, practice as many past exams and see if you really learnt it
This is fantastic…
Admin, its my first time to sit F papers and i want a good combination, is f5,f8 and f9 good combination.
Regards
That combination is OK, but it is maybe better to take them in order (it is useful to take F6 before F9)
Hello One of the best lecture Johnmoffat,
Is that Possible you can Record the lecture for the Topics which are not yet uploaded, I am sitting in my June exam Next June, I have gain a lot of help from the opentiution in F2 specially. Thank you very much for the kind help which you all are providing.
Open tuition is fantastic. I wish I knew about it earlier…. Thanks again opentuition ….

Thanks & Regards
hi im planning to study at home with the aid of your site, but i dont see any lectures for F7, will there be sometime soon??
@jagbudhai, Have you looked on the F7 link? There are plenty of F7 lectures on the site
@jagbudhai, Go to ( on this site ) “ACCA”, then “F7″, then “Free ACCA lectures” and you should find what you’re looking for. If you don’t, post again – but not under the heading “ACCA F5 Introduction”
Hi, Opentuition..! I had very limited time to study & revise for my F2 exam, due to some personal problems.. and for the same reason, I attended only two classes for F2… the only thing I did before my exam was going through all the revision videos..(exactly one day before the exam).. And I passed my F2 with 70 marks!!!!!… THANK YOU SO MUCH, Opentuition!!!.. three cheers for opentuition.com!
Thank you Opentution
Wow Admin, Is that a mistake or bug or you allowed yourself to download this video because this is the only video I saw in this website is available to download, A download link is provided beneath the video. If you allowed then its ok but if it is a mistake then please do rectify it.
it is not a mistake
sometimes the lecturer say something that we are unable to hear…even with the volume at its highest i find it difficult what he said… especially when he is moving about….
use headphones, that may help
MY BROWSER’S ARE UNABLE TO SHOW THE LECTURES DUE TO SLOW SPEED. IS THERE A WAY TO DOWNLOAD THESE VIDEO LECTURES SO I CAN WATCH THEM ON MY PC RATHER THAN ONLINE WHICH IS NEXT TO IMPOSIBLE WITH MY CONNECTION?? PLEASE HELP!!
No, lectures are on line only, you need to upgrade your connection
I am not able to watch the complete introduction it seems to be buffering half way in and no matter what i do it does not pass this stage. any suggestions?
that’s strange, it should pick up, when you press play where it left off.
try another browser
@admin, Thanks, I had to start it all over and then go to where i left off
its black at last
I’m not able to see the lectures. It’s saying ‘Server not found’. Please advise me on what to do. Thank you
you are behind a firewall. contact your internet provider to check this for you
@verlynwilliams, try to use Internet Explorer instead of Firefox or opera. i have just the problem from time to time because i use 64but vista and it does not support 32bit firefox
THE LECTURE IS SKIPING.IT STARTS THEN IT PAUSES OR STOPS.WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?
slow internet connection
restart your router, and do not use internet for anything else, but streaming lecture, if you have a slow connection
hello Opentution thank you very much for F5 video please tell me how can I download this video.
This will be very helpful for us.
Thanks
Bishwajit
you can only watch it on line, not download
is it possible to pass F5 by covering only opentuition coures notes
@wilson12345, No! There is enough to have the knowledge for the exams, but you do need to practice as many past questions as you can. Best is to have a Revision Kit or Exam kit, but otherwise download all the past exams from the ACCA website.
@johnmoffat, either past year question do u have other type of questions that u can suggest?
@irahlylons, Best is to get a Revision/Exam kit and work through all the questions in there.
nice intro
This is very good and helpful. But why is it that sometimes videos play and sometimes i get this Server not found: rtmpt://173.208.109.173:80/play
it is good thanks alot
simple and understanding
is there no lecture available on simulation topic of F5??????
@zzzzz111, No. Simulation does not warrant a full lecture since it is only has a very tiny mention in the syllabus and does not involve any arithmetic in Paper F5.
(It is more of a Paper F9 topic.)
thank for open tuition! i have 1 month to study..bless me! :O
@elienlim, and I have even less than that! :-/ … good luck!
@fasih0110, and i even less but we will make it guys. lets make the best use of time left. good luck to all
It’s helpful?thanks for wonderful lecture?
I can not see it , it just blank
Is there anyway to download the videos to watch later? I have access to the internet during the day on my laptop, but not in the evening when I’m at home and would prefer to study……?
No, lectures are online only
that’s the only way this site can exist and be free
That’s a huge shame. These videos are a superb resource which I would love to watch whilst I commute to & from work.
But I also like free
try watching on your mobile.
