Respected sir…. suppose if the expected life of a car is 5 years as said in example…but at the end of fifth year it was then recognised that the car would have an extra life of 2 years…….if this happens what would the effects be?

That is dealt with in a later lecture – this is only the introductory lecture and it is impossible to cover everything all at once 🙂
