Hello I’m doing the skills module now, I have set F5 during this session. Now I want to figure out which exams to sit next session. I am a student and I work full time in audit. I want to take F7 next session because I will also be taking Financial Reporting as a class in the University so it would be convenient for me. However, I am considering what to take with F7 I know the popular choice is F8 but since F8 is Audit and Assurance I want to take it a bit later (maybe next December) when I have more experience in audit so it can kinda help me with the exam. Any recommendations?
Hello there I am about to start acca and i was thinking taking F2-F3 together for the june exams.is it a good idea or i should take them separately. i have exemption for F1 so i don;t need to take it. thx in advance
Stratos, no need to take them together. As they are computer based exams you can sit them very frequently outside of the normal exams dates. Do the f2 tuition first then sit the exam shortly after then move onto f3. Thats my suggestion. Best of luck.
the paper exam applied to some still. so it is not all online. to avoid wasting you time, do them together if you cannot find a place to do it online besides you need to familiarize yourself with computer base exam.
I am just about to start my ACCA as I have recently completed the AAT course. What 2 papers would be a good starting point for me to take and what revision tools work best (either BPP or KAPLAN) and other study material worth investing in. I currently work full time and am busy on Saturdays which will reduce amount of time available for exams but am keep and dedicated to suceedig.
Hi! I am taking F5 and F8 for Dec’2013 session. this combination is my second attempt. Last session i passed F7 (score: 61) and F9 (score:61). How do you think, would it be easier to study F5 after passing F9? F5 is a hell for me :((((
Dear Sir, KIndly confirm if there are differences between CBE and Paper base exam.CBE is available at any time whereas Paper Base exam are available 2 Times a year. What about the pass rates.CBE monitors displayed diffrent questions for candidates whereas Paper Base Exam all candidates used to get same paper and same question.Which are tough Paper Base or Computer Base and about the pass rates.Which candidates scored more marks Paper Base or Computer base exam.
The CBE and paper exams are both the same level of difficulty, and the same syllabus.
The ACCA do not publish pass rates separately for CBE and paper based, and we do not have that information either. There is no reason why they should be different.
Yes I did them together and pass both. but if you have have F8, it march best with P1. and P2 best match F9 but you need to do P1 before P2. so go ahead with P1 and F9, i found it good combination.
started studying kind of late now I’m not sure what to choose.
I’ve already started P1 and deciding between P2 / P3. I hope to choose P5 n P7 at future sittings, what do you think I should do now? Help please btw I work full time
P3 underpins P5 and P2 underpins P7 so, I would say choose the one you are more strong at given 2 months and 2 weeks to go before exams. I actually did P1 and P3 and then P2 with P7. which i think is the best because P2 knowledge in all needed in P7 so i do not have to revise Financial reporting topics for P7. In P5 only some part of the P3 syllabus is needed but P7 needs all P2 knowledge. so i would recommend P1 with P3 which have some overlaps as well, especially Stakeholder analysis, strategic decisions and risk.
Hi Everyone, kindly give suggestions. I am full time working professional. My all F papers are passed except F5 which i have to re-attempt in Dec-2013. I am planning to attempt 1 paper from P1 to P3. which extra paper should i opt for considering time constraints due to professional and social commitments.
F5 & P3 are perfect match, when i was doing P3, i had to revise F5 content. e.g variance and all decision making topics so i will advice you to do them together.
Calm Down Dear. you should be thinking of how to pass the F papers first. P2 is not for F students unless you want to sit and fail 1000 time besides you will not be allowed to do that.
oh. thats fine, but P1 first. do all 3 together or P1 and F4. it is also ok to do p2 with f4 but if you are going to do p7 then it’s best to delay p2 and do it with p7 because you need all the knowledge in P2 for p7
Nothing in common at all. F4 is law, P3 is on strategy formulations and evaluation. so don’t do them together. F4 Law on business & companies good to go with P1 on company governance, Ethics, Risk and a bit of law besides F4 also have a bit of governance and risk so it’s a perfect marriage. Since you have only F4 to do in the F papers, the natural choice is to do it with P1.
I personally think its tough as f4 and f7 have loads of theory to learn and remember things, definitions etc. dont know about f6 as still haven’t done it myself.
If you have P3 to do then P3 with P5 is the best. if you are doing P7 then P2 and P7 are best. P3 and P5 are also good. if you final Paper will be P5 and P4, then do P1 and P2 first before P3. then do P3 and P5 together and P4 Last

Hi am new to the site and am enjoying the conversations,i liked you analysis. I was writing my last two papers in level 2 and acca Videos did assist me a lot. would you have P1-3 Videos?
Hi, I failed the F4 and F7 exams in June and planning to resit them in December. I also want to add another paper as a first attempt. Which one would be a better combination with them F8 or F5? any advice please?
I personally would take F8 with F7 which is what am doing right now for December exams. I read many comments about them two being somehow linked and asked my friend who is a tutor at school and she confirmed F7and F8 is the best combination. However, you also have F4 which (as I suspect f8 will be) is another theoretical paper. If you failed f4 marginally you shouldn’t probably worry about having additional theory from f8 but one thing for sure – F5 will go better with f9 should you chose now f8. Good luck.
Thanks Pawel, its what I was thinking about. Goodluck to you too.

Hi PLEASE GIVE ME AN ADVICE FOR THESE COMBINATION I’ve failed my June’13 sitting for F6, F8 & F9 and I was so totally desperated And I’m likely want to sit my 2nd attempt for F6, F8 & first attempt P1 for Dec’13. Is this the best combination? OR could someone advice and help me is there any best combination for me? I’m totally need your help. Thanks.
I can’t advice how to prepare for them but can tell you my own experience since I had exact same combination last year. I work full time and learning theory is always painful for me, literally! I only passed F5 (which I found quite straight forward and more exercise focused rather than the theory where in fact you could write loads of about using your common sense rather then definitions from the book). I failed F7 and F9 and realised it was a mistake taking three papers for one sitting. In June this year I sat F7 and F9 again and passed this time F9, failing F7 by one mark (I know, gutted!).
If you can devote plenty of your spare time studying outside of your school hours and are disciplined to spent at least several days on each paper to learn the theory really hard you will be fine. Good luck.
Thats too much you are basically attempting the 3 computation paper in this level and two of them very hard f9 is probably the easiest of the ones you have listed there as its mainly computation and less writing while f5 while they may say its 60/40 its more 50/50 writing and computation.
If you are set on doing three try f5 and f9 along with a theory like f8. f7 has alot to remember as well. f9 – opentutition lectures and bbp kit working all the questions and understandidng the concept should work – topics to focus on npv, wacc and working capital f5- the same as f9 but you need to be sure that you can handle anything from each section as the questions are mainly senario base and you need to be able to apply. knowing for sure your advance variances, performance management and budgetting topics you should be half way there.
Hi i hav the short question….
Can i take the F8 F9 P1 and P2 at same time??
Yes, no problem, so long as you have passed all the other F level papers
Hey
Quick question,
Can I sit for P1 and P3 in June 2014
then P2, and 2 other options in Dec 2014?
Will ACCA allow me to do P2 later?
Yes – that is allowed, no problem.
Thank you Sir! 🙂

hi guys i was wondering is it better to do all the F papers first and then the P papers?
And also can i do P6 after F6 without doing P1,2,3
No, you can’t do P level before F level.
and you have to do P1/2/3 before or with P6
THANKS
I was wondering if paper F6 the syllabus is almost the same as the ICAEW certificate module of Principles of Taxation
You can find the syllabus for Paper F6 on the ACCA webpages – http://www.accaglobal.com
Otherwise, ask on the ‘Ask the ACCA tutor’ forum for F6 and our F6 tutor will be able to help you.

Try BPP and start with F4 & F5

Is F5 with F8 is Good???
As I am left with these two only in F series.
i guess you have not got a choice, so just do them. good luck
Hi,
Are papers F9 and P1 good combination of papers to study for together ?

PLS, WILL LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN COMBINE F4 AND P2, I JUST HAVE F4 TO WRITE IN THE SKILLS MODULE
Calm Down Dear.

F4,F6 and F7 what do you think guys,Am working fulltime.
I personally think its tough as f4 and f7 have loads of theory to learn and remember things, definitions etc. dont know about f6 as still haven’t done it myself.
leave f7 and attack it with only one other paper unless you have the time as it is alot of info to cover.
Which is the best combination of P1-P7 Papers?
Depending how many papers you want to sit in one sitting and the final option papers you are choosing.
I plan to take P1-P5, 1 sitting 1-2 papers.
If you have P3 to do then P3 with P5 is the best. if you are doing P7 then P2 and P7 are best. P3 and P5 are also good.
if you final Paper will be P5 and P4,
then do P1 and P2 first before P3.
then do P3 and P5 together and P4 Last

Hi @john85,
How many F papers do you still have before jumping to P papers?
what about f5, f7 and f9 for this December 2013 attempt, please do advice me how to prepare for them.
