@thiva, P1, as it is a very light paper. F9 syallabus is quite large and can be heavy going at times.

Does anyone have a good 3 paper combination for the following exams: F5, F6, F7, F8 & F9. I’ve pass F2 – F4 and want to sit another 3 in December…..would I be better taking them based on the schedule of exams in December or mix matching with essay based and number based exams??

I say P1 & P2, you need a text paper to break the calculation sometimes, and P1 can be quite dry so you need the challenge to P2 to get by. P3 is best done on it’s own I find. P7 & P6 are best done together, but you need to commit more time to P6 because the syllabus is tooooo content heavy! That worked for me 馃檪

P1 or P3. P2 requires much more time commitment. Among P1 and P3 depends on your strengths. I loved business analysis as I have worked as an analyst so I think I spent 1 week on it. But if Business analysis is not your thing, P1 is the best choice.

      p2 & p1 then p5 & p1 then p7 alone are great combinations.
I cleared p3,p1&p7 in one session and p2 & f8 in its previous session.

i understand your desperation. But if u get 49%, and one month later you resit and get the same or less, what will you do. the six month in between will help you start the whole subject including what u know best. Believe me, u will see the whole subject in a different way.
take the subjects as a passion, new understanding and not a way of passing exams and moving on………..
all subjects are Kind of Connected.
if u cover F1 untill f9 , u are going to realise how connected they are.
the way F1 To F9 is arranged. The core structure is just perfect.

This people who did this arrangement for two timed period they thought about those settings.

IF THEY WILL DO WHAT U WANT; TO RESIT THE EXAM AFTER TWO OR THREE MONTHES; THAT I WOULD HAVE CALLED MONEY MAKING:

so stop analysing their arrangement, analysed what you are going to do to reach your goal.

    Thank you for reading

i’m doing F8 and F9 in June just to clear my level 2 papers. will a combination of P1, P3 and P4 in Dec exams be good. I don’t want to do 1,2 and 3 together because i noticed those papers are back to back thus no breaks in between. How does this sound? (just thinking ahead)

the trend of combinations seems like people are like to take F4,5,6 or F7,8,9, which is exactly the same as official recommended combinations. No information at all!!

We are tired of this very conservative way of doing things why can;t there be atransparent way of giving feedback such that people can always know the areas to improve in. With the current system one can not know where he/she needs to improve by just getting back your 49%. Secondly why can’t there be a resit period for those people who fail papers instead of waiting for more six months still ACCA will be getting it’s money.

Agree completely with the shorter period option for a resit exam, however I feel the main blocker on this will be BPP and Kaplan, who make a lot of money from the course materials and lectures, even the resit tuition goes into the hundreds. Can you imagine the loss they would have to take if the resit option was made availble?

However for students, it would certainly improve the time taken to qualify, i hope ACCA listen to their students and take this into consideration.

    Unlikely though!

wat about a survey so students can vote onthis.
i am sure a lot of students will support this

This is the referral to ACCA

    Hi there

Time is running very fast and competition is on unavoidable now a days.
ACCA unlike other qualifications (American) take long to qualify due to its
exam polices, because student has to wait for next 6 months to attempt
subject again (failed paper). ACCA is the most growing professional body from all over the world, but its exam polices and way of exam is still on 20 years old
parameters. I started ACCA in 2007 and doing job, till now I am unqualifed
because of system of exams. Number of attempts MUST BE more than TWO in a
year. So, I request you to please consider to change exam pattern in
    following way:

Student which has failed in June or Dec attempt, should be allowed to clear
that paper within two weeks or 40 days INSTEAD of waiting for next time.
This can save precious time of student. Consider and forward my requested
    to concerned department.
