Is there an article for P7 exam technique like there is for P2 ?

Hello,
I am a Ghanaian who recently moved to Finland but has P7 and P4 to write and since there is no exam center here in this country, I am forced to fly to UK to write my exams. I will like to know if I have to sit for the international or UK version of the P7
opentuition_team says
You can take your exams in Riga (Latvia) or Tallin it’s closer
MikeLittle says
Not only can you take the exam in Tallinn or Riga or St Petersburg, you are not obliged to take any specific variant. If you were an English person attempting the exam in England, you could still elect to sit international variant.

Thanks very much

You’re welcome

Am struggling to locate materials on IAS 41 Agriculture on the ACCA website. Opentuition note do not include it either. Any help?
MikeLittle says
Are you sure that the opentuition notes don’t cover IAS 41?
I’ll remedy that during this close season. Meanwhile, you could read all about it in the F7 or P2 course notes

MikeLittle says
Has it changed since it was written? I believe that that article is still valid!
mosaheb says
Can we have notes on integrated reporting and agriculture which form part of the new topics to be covered in P7?

what’s the best study material for P7? bpp or kaplan or any others?
I already had BPP 2011- P7 (international) version, had baby last couple of years so stopped study, now i have to pick up do you think i need change study material or my BPP P7 (Int) is good enough? I am base in UK.
many thanks
Jane
MikeLittle says
I don’t remember much changing in the last 3 years so BPP 2011 should be substantially ok
Just make sure that you are up to speed with IAS 41 Agriculture and with integrated reporting. There are new chapters in the free course notes on this site and they are new topics for this December’s exams
qian says
Thank you Mike, much appericated. Just want to clear on International or UK stream. I have material for international version, and now read on ACCA website say if you base in UK, you must pass UK version or choose UK version from 2011 onwards, then it also indicated UK version is base on International standard…. so I get confused, is my P7- 2011 (int) version plus your just mentioned IAS 41 Agriculture and with integrated reporting (free course notes from open tuition) are enough?
many thanks
sarez47 says
well said, but now ACCA should take urgent steps to take exams four times a year, it really waste out 6 months if a paper fail..
MikeLittle says
Three times a year (every 4 months) would be more likely but even now we read about students who pass 14 exams in 18 months (June, December, June, December)
MikeLittle says
Why pick on P7? All the exams are tough, especially the P level papers.
As the compere says on the programme “Who wants to be a millionaire” these questions are only easy if you know the answer!
sarez47 says
already p7 is tough to qualify, thanks to add more new topics to the syllabus.
