hi..apart from the auditing standards we are also required to have good knowledge of accounting standards right..Is there any link you can give me to the steps/flowchart of the examinable accounting standards. forexample Leases, financial instruments and their accounting treatments. IFRS 5 held for sale conditions etc but in point form or flowchart.

Not really. What I can suggest is that you look up the P2 notes / listen to P2 lectures on this site in so far as they relate to accounting treatment of matters in financial statements – just as a reminder of what’s involved.
It’s then only one small step to convert an accounting treatment into an audit procedure and I’m sure that ( as a student who has reached P7 level ) you are capable of making that step
@MikeLittle, i really feel thats what i have been doing wrong in the last couple of sittings. Unable to change treatment to procedure. In both occasions i have confidence that i have done more than enough to get through but just doesn’t turn out right.
with time pressure of work and studing can some one still make it even if he has covered only say fifty percent of BBP revision kit? help me if i should be confident of myself, there is little time remaining for revision now .what strategies are appropriate under tme pressuer

Hi…i know there are changes in syllabus from Dec 2011 to June 2012…can i just confirm that there is NO changes from June 2012 to Dec 2012 seating? the changes are on yearly basis right? thanks!

@edrammeh, What do you mean “What happened to P7” It’s still there, still called P7.
There are no new lecture recordings planned for this season for either P2 or P7 ( I can’t speak for P3 )
Get through the course notes and then start practising from past exam papers

@laila-yama, Yes – I still cannot believe that Lisa gives marks for quoting Auditing Standard numbers so I see no reason why the International course notes should not also be applicable to the UK variant. Similarly, IFRS is now pretty much adopted in full by UK so all audit matters related to accounting problems demand the same answer whether it be UK variant or International variant

Look for the red bar (which is above the blue bar) and click on ACCA and look for P7 and click on it for P7 page to appear. Then scroll thru the page and look for online videos and down load their free notes. All the best
