What should i do to download the open tuition video lecture as it is not possible for me to have internet excess all the time…please suggest me as soon as possible.thank you in advance
The lectures are not downloadable, sorry. It’s the only way we can keep the site free.
You can watch them as often as you wish, so that’s the good news and, of course, you can always post questions on the Ask ACCA Tutor page and I shall get back to you
So this means that every new topic is covered in the notes…right??? We just have to go through the notes and lecture given online to pass this paper???is that right sir???
A very big thank to the lecturer for providing good qualitiy lectures. I only studied for 5 days by refering to the lecture notes and continueosly watching the free videos.
I got 63 for P1 at the first attempt. Thank you very much…
Awesome. Did u ready the study text at all? I really want to sit P1 in March but I wasn’t sure if it would be possible to pass with such little study time (working full time) I live in Australia so I do not have access to lectures other than online.
I purchased the Kaplan study text, but did not have the time to read or study it because I too work full time in an audit firm and was really busy with work. So my only option was open tuition. The open tuition notes were really helpful because they focus only on the important areas. I did P1 and P3 in December by studying only for one week and got through both the subjects thanks to open tuition. Hope this helped you.!!!

Hi opentuition. You always produce good quality videos to help us pass the exam. I really really appreciate the work that u done to us. Can you also record the revision video which include discussion and explaining some p1 past year questions?
I wouldn’t have thought that it was necessary. You say “useful” – yes, it could be useful – certainly not detrimental, Try reading a summary from the internet rather than wade through the whole report
Hi I am currenlty looking in to the public sector for p1. Please could you let me know about the national goverment. Are they permenant employees who provide advice to the minister?
That depends I believe in which jurisdiction that you live.
In the UK, the members of parliament (the members of House of Commons together with the members of the House of Lords) comprise collectively the Government
The members of the HOuse of Commons are elected by democratic vote whereas the members of the House of Lords are either there because of their family history (hereditary peers) or because they have been nominated and appointed to the position
The Civil Service are employees and it is they that give advice to the ministers
Thx to the videos i got pass p1 on my first attempt. i prepared for p1 just by watching this videos a week before the exam i didn’t touch any books or material on p1. Thanks a lot
Hi Atiul, I’m taking P1 in December, please advise how did you prepare for P1 to pass in a week of studying, many many thanks!!. My email address da*******@ho*****.com
You seem to have become quite popular with your one week revision plan, would you care to share with the rest of us, I would like to know instead of emailing so the rest of us can use or would you prefer to email direct?
Hey everyone, I would like to add onto the above subject. Please bear in mind everyone is different, Aitul passed after only 1 week of studying and although his revision plan works for him, it may not be applicable for the rest of the students who probably would require more time, materials and preparation to be ready.
Aitul, congratulations, I also passed on my first attempt, but again, I had to prepare for 4 weeks, reading online articles and listening to the lectures.
Mr Mike, I would like to thank you, both P1 and P2 I listened to your lectures and passed 1st attempt, and I think it your teaching skills which enable a student to grasp the content and not only “read it off the book” as most students tend to do.
For all those sitting in December, best of luck, make good use of your time now to avoid last minute rush and keep on supporting Open tuition, on behalf of all the students out there, we thank you for your help and support.
I can’t believe someone asked “do Burkina Faso have telephones” .That is so rude and ignorant to think a country in Africa ,in this day and age, have no telephones.even if she didn’t mean to be rude it most definitely was ignorant of her.
Do you not think that maybe she was trying for a bit of humour? It’s no more rude nor ignorant than people who have no idea where, for example, N’Djamena is. Do you know, without first looking it up?
Hi … Thanks for the lectures and all hard work … Any ways ACCA exams are becoming very competitive now and watching the videos itself will not help to pass. Specially practical experience very much required in getting a proper understanding on these concepts
Knowledge seeker is correct – this would be better posted in Ask the Tutor!
The lectures are all relevant for June 2015 though not entirely complete – integrated reporting is not covered by a lecture but there’s a whole raft of interesting articles on the subject on the internet! Much of them are summarised within the chapter in the course notes

No problem at all – it’s fine for june
thanks!

thanks kul… by just watching the videos??
and repeatedly reading the notes! And really, you should build in the time to read through past exam questions and answers
And listen to the World news (on BBC if you can get it)

You’re welcome, and congratulations

There isn’t one in existence just yet – maybe something for the future. I’ll keep your suggestion in mind
Hi!
Can i know any example to diffrentiate the accountability and responsibility in the concept of corporate governance?
When my wife says that I am to be responsible for looking after meat whilst it is cooking. But I forget about it and it is burned / overcooked
Then I am faced with being accountable to my wife in trying to explain to her how it could have happened
Ok?
So, that means responsibility is what you have to do while accountability is the explanation for what you did, right?
That sounds to be a reasonable summary!
Are these lectures + notes applicable to the March 2016 Exam for P1?
Well, of course they are! The world of governance, risk and ethics moves as fast as a drug-influenced snail trying to go backwards.
Yes, the notes are fine
LOL “…as fast as a drug-influenced snail trying to go backwards.” haha
Lol a very practical response!
are these lectures relevant in terms of december 2015 sitting
YES! they would not be on line if they were not
Would it be useful for one to go and read the cadbury report?
I wouldn’t have thought that it was necessary. You say “useful” – yes, it could be useful – certainly not detrimental, Try reading a summary from the internet rather than wade through the whole report
Okay thank you sir

Hi Aitul
You seem to have become quite popular with your one week revision plan, would you care to share with the rest of us, I would like to know instead of emailing so the rest of us can use or would you prefer to email direct?
This is what Aitul wrote!
“i prepared for p1 just by watching this videos a week before the exam i didn鈥檛 touch any books or material on p1.”
What more do you want from him?

Well, thank you Shazia! Good of you to say so 馃檪
I can’t find the updated lectures video on the website the one i found is December 2010
Regards.
All P1 Lectures are valid for 2015 Exams!
The world of governance, risk and ethics is a slow-moving world. Those lectures for P1 are still just as valid as they were 5 years ago!
I can’t believe someone asked “do Burkina Faso have telephones” .That is so rude and ignorant to think a country in Africa ,in this day and age, have no telephones.even if she didn’t mean to be rude it most definitely was ignorant of her.

Hi Mike I cannot believe you are the lecturer for P1, I did P2 in December and I relied on your lectures and passed with a 61 cant wait for P1 now 馃檪
What exam kit we should be using for p1 ,bpp or Kaplan.
Whichever suits you best! I’m certainly not going to recommend one above the other

Hi,
The course notes are from December 2010,are these still relevant?
Regards
They are free on this site – why not get the latest version?!
Hi,
Are these lectures relevant and complete for June 15 exam sittings?
You need to address your question to Mike. I too am a student like you.
Knowledge seeker is correct – this would be better posted in Ask the Tutor!
