How would you be able to get the occupancy rate of competitors hotels? I don’t think competitors would give that information another hotel 馃檪
Individual competitor hotels are not likely to, but the tourist boards in most countries collect data and give overall occupancy rate for all hotels in a city or country (and it is this that we would be comparing with).
In the exam you obviously make use of whatever information is given (and don’t worry about where they got it from 馃檪 )

You can see a few examples in our practice test (there is a practice test for each chapter). Also, of course, you will find examples in the past exam papers on the ACCA website.
