   Thank you for the lecture John.

   How would you be able to get the occupancy rate of competitors hotels? I don’t think competitors would give that information another hotel 🙂

     Individual competitor hotels are not likely to, but the tourist boards in most countries collect data and give overall occupancy rate for all hotels in a city or country (and it is this that we would be comparing with).

     In the exam you obviously make use of whatever information is given (and don’t worry about where they got it from 🙂 )

     You can see a few examples in our practice test (there is a practice test for each chapter). Also, of course, you will find examples in the past exam papers on the ACCA website.

     However it is vital that you buy a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers – the contain lots of exam-standard questions to practice on. (You can get a 20% discount on books from BPP by clicking on the advert that appears throughout this website)
