    • What I would suggest is that you download out free Course Notes for each paper, and watch all our free lectures that go with them

      If you have any problems or questions, then you can ask in our Ask the Tutor Forums and we will reply quickly.

      The one book you really must get hold of for each paper is a Revision/Exam Kit from one of the approved publishers. These books contain lots of practice questions, and it is vital that once you feel you are happy with the topics (from our lectures) that you practice as many questions as possible.

      Remember again – any problems, just ask in the relevant Ask the Tutor Forum.

  7. I’m from China. This is the first time i came here. I ‘d like to know if acca lectures here could be applicable to ACCA exam in China. In order to pass the exam, is it ok that i just learn lectures here and do some past exam papers as practice?

    • Yes certainly – it is the same exam in China

      However, the ACCA does not publish pas exam papers for Paper F2. So get hold of an Exam/Revision Kit from one of the approved publishers. They contain lots of questions to practice and it is vital to practice as many questions as possible.

    I just wanted to thank you for all the lectures and notes etc… I sat the F2 paper yesterday and got 78% … I only used Opentuition … I got 84% in F1 too through your lectures.

      Whats the problem?

      Any record is by definition an historical record, but that it not the purpose of management accounting. The purpose is to improve the way we manage the business in the future – that is why it is called management accounting.

      It is the purpose of financial accounting to keep an historical record, and if that is all we wanted then there would be no point in doing management accounts as well!

    • The syllabus has not changed for F2, only the format, and so the lectures do not need updating at all.
      (Except for the introduction lecture which still mentions the old format – this lecture will be changed this week to mention the new format, in time for the change.)

  12. Sir i need your help 🙁
    i have attempted f2 (FMA) three times but i got 36,48 and 46 marks respectively
    although paper was easy but when the result came it was unsuccessful attempt
    please help me how to pass
    your help will relly be appreciated i am in very difficulty

    • There are only two ways to pass.
      One is obviously to really make sure that you understand everything – if you have not watched my lectures then do so.

      The other is to practice and practice as many questions as you can. I assume that you have a Revision/Exam Kit from one of the approved publishers (if not, then you must get one). Make sure that you can do every question and that you learn from those that you get wrong. When you are confident that you can answer every question then you must start practicing under time pressure. It is when you are under time pressure in the exam that it is so easy to make silly mistakes even when you understand the topic.

  19. Hi John.
    I sat my CBE F2 yesterday at LSBF. I passed it & scored 74%.
    A lot, & i mean it, a lot of credit goes to your lecture, especially as I am self-studying. I am really indebted to you for this.
    I noticed at least 2 of the candidates failed with mid-40s score. I feel sorry for them and wish them luck for the next time.
    To be honest, first 8-10 questions were really confusing & lengthy but things got manageable after that. I think the key is not to lose the cool.
    I am planning to take F3 mid-feb & will depend a lot upon your lectures again.
