    Hello sir,
I want to thank you for the free lectures and notes, they are really helpful.
But in page 74 there is Handy’s best fit theory which I didn’t find in your lecture.

    Hi,

Can anyone elaborate a little more on the difference between ‘Psychologically close’ leadership style and ‘Psychologically distant’ one.
    Please.

Maybe an example of each might help.

    Thank you

P.D.M is whereby a manager distances himself from the sub-ordinates which will affect the psycology or the sub-ordinates creating fear which will force them to carry out duties. There are different circumstances under which P.D.M is applied including when the sub-ordinates are immature, when working condition is unfavourable.

P.C.M is when a manager decides to get into a close relation ship with the sub-ordinates which will affect their psycology positively encouraging them to carry out duties.
