    Hi All,
I did the CBE for F1 about 2 weeks ago, I only used the open tuition course and Youtube videos and got 82%…
I am planning on doing the F2 in a couple of weeks and I am again basing it on the opentuition lectures. I will do F3 the same way.
    Thanks John Moffat!!!

      Hi Walaha,
Informal organisations are on p.13 of the F1 notes Iceberg picture that looks more like a puddle !

      Every workplace has them !

      Take care

      January 17, 2014 at 10:16 pm

      Hello Walaha,

The answers are in the ‘Organisations’ lecture. Look for the ‘Iceberg’ chart.
I know it’s confusing but you will succeed- I have faith in you !

      Take care,

hi i m new here and want to past F1 F3 ,i want to know are that notes provided here enough to pass the exam or it is compulsory to to take text books

    • David says

      January 15, 2014 at 2:06 pm

      Here’s an option:

You can use OpenTution notes and lectures and then practice a lot of questions from Revision Kits (approved by ACCA). However if you feel that you are unhappy with a particular topic and think you need additional information THEN you can refer to your Study text! (or make some good research on the internet).

Anyway, the key to succeed in your exams is to practice as many questions as you can!

Hi, to answer to the question you asked me, no i have not used passcard for my exam.
And even if i’m not the Admin 🙂 No Opentution don’t provides Study text and Revision Kits but free lectures and notes. You can also find flashcards, test centre and mock exam on this website.

I will take F1 exam in 1 month later and i’m preparing for this. But i’m considering about the study text which I used. It’s for exam from Dec 2011 to Dec 2012 so I can use it for exam Dec 2013. Has it had any changes in content?

    • Hai Yen says

      January 9, 2014 at 10:27 am

      Sorry..
Can I use it for exam Jan 2014?

    • roland says

      January 9, 2014 at 12:45 pm

      Hai Yen,
I am going to get an up to date BPP study text. To me, this makes sense if I fail my June exam. An older book even from 2012 wiil be even more out of date by the time I pass. I’ll be spending a little less on Costa coffee this month !
Good fortune in your studies 😉

      • Hai Yen says

        January 9, 2014 at 1:59 pm

this make me sad…I’m going to take my exam in 10days later and I have reviewed a half of that text….so what should I do now???

      • riverstixx says

        January 10, 2014 at 2:51 pm

        Hai Yen
Do not worry / panic or be sad. The syllabus has not changed very much at all. You will be absolutely fine as long as you know the material in your text inside out. Also download an up to date syllabus from the ACCA website and go through each subsection to make sure you have covered all the topics.
I used a text from 2010 and was more than fine!! You may get one or two questions you are unfamiliar with if you are unlucky; but remember you only require 50%.
        Good luck!!

    • David says

      January 3, 2014 at 11:47 am

      Hi,
i used Kaplan and BPP revision kits but i spent more time on BPP because it contains more questions and i found it more challenging.

  15. David says

    December 28, 2013 at 9:29 pm

I started revising (or studying) only 5 days before my CBE (F1) using OpenTution course notes, Flashcards, Slides, Mock Exam and by practicing on ”updated Revision kit from an ACCA approved publisher” as mentioned on the website.
    I passed with 62%.

    OpenTution is simply awesome!

Hi narmin: I wish to do the same. Reading the testimonials, it seems plenty folks have simply studied on this site at home-and passed !
I have been glued to my computer for over an hour. I actually prefer it to books now ! Esp. that I can also chat to folks in on the subject. I don’t feel some alone in studying for ACCA F1..et al which is really important to me. There are many other folks on the same Silk Road !
