With effect from 26 February 2014, the structure of both the computer based examination and the paper based F1 examination will change.
Instead of the current structure of 50 objective questions of two marks each, the exam will consist of two sections:
- Section A will contain 16 one mark objective questions and 30 two mark questions objective test questions (pick one answer from a number of alternatives).
- Section B will contain 6 four mark multi-task questions. Multi-task questions (MTQs) contain a series of tasks which relate to one or more scenarios.
All questions are compulsory and the pass mark is 50%
There are no changes to the syllabus and so there is nothing new to study, but it is important that you make sure you are familiar with the new structure.
The ACCA has prepared specimen exams in the new structure.
If you are taking the paper based examination, then you can find the specimen F1 examination on the following page >>
If you are taking the computer based F1 examination, then you can find the specimen F1 examination is here:

Hello,
can anyone provide me with F1 offline videos lecture.
i need for them for my self revision. or show me how to download it ?
John Moffat says
Our lectures are not downloadable – the can only be watched online.
It is the only way that we can keep this website free of charge.
Maybe you can find other providers than do make them downloadable, but then of course you will have to pay for them
(To get them any other way is both illegal and unethical. For an ACCA student to do this would obviously be unthinkable)
orionlinaung says
I want to know
One Lecture is all chapters
or one lecture is one chapter

And then how to watch all F1 all lecture

Ken Garrett says
There is one lecture for each chapter. The names and numbers match.

I have to sit for f1,f2 and f3 exams in June.I am very tensed because i failed in f3 cbe exams.I revised well yet i failed.Plz help me,i am vey tensed and i do not know where to start.I have to decide between cbe and paper based examinations.
John Moffat says
It makes no difference whether you take CBE or paper based exams – the difficulty is the same. (One benefit of CBE is that you know your result immediately whereas with paper based you have to wait several months)
There are two things to passing the exams.
One is obviously having the required knowledge. I assume that you have worked through all our Course Notes and lectures.
The other thing – just as important – is practicing questions at speed. You must have access to Revision/ Exam Kits from one of the approved publishers, and you must practice and practice under time pressure. It is no good taking a long time over a question and getting it right. The problem in the exam is the speed, and when you are going fast is when you misread and make silly mistakes.
Keep setting yourself tests from the Revision Kit – choose a batch of (say) 20 questions and give yourself 48 minutes. Keep doing that and make sure you can get more than 50% correct in the time.
Yogeshwaree says
I could not manage the time in the exams.Thank u very much.I will work harder and pass.
manassehnarh says
I think the new structure is good and it will allow for more comprehensive testing.
Yogeshwaree says
Are cbe exams more difficult than paper based ones?
John Moffat says
No – there is no difference in the level of difficulty.
abdul says
full exam is not available here.. can anyone tell me what the problem is?
John Moffat says
The specimen exam is on the ACCA web page as the note above explains. The link to it is given in the note above.
abdul says
sir i am not asking about the specimen exam
i am talking about ‘F1-Accountant in Business (Full Exam) | F1 (Full Exam) Answers’
John Moffat says
You are asking about the specimen exam.
The ACCA have a specimen CBE exam online (they call it ‘full exam’ and that is what the link above is to).
Obed says
THE ONLY THING TO DO IS TO STUDY EXTRA HARD FOR THE NEW FORMAT BECAUSE THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE
John Moffat says
There really is nothing to worry about. The syllabus is staying the same, and there is no reason why the new format should be any harder or easier than the current format.
Just make sure that you have tried the specimen paper (which I assume you already have done).
