Yes, anything and everything from the syllabus can be asked in an exam with the Law Exam format
It’s quite probable that there could well be only one question from that area but, if you’re aiming for 100% in the exam, you should know all the areas of the syllabus
Hi, I have a plan to Give F4 English Variant in the Last week of January, 2018 via CBE. Please tell me if these lectures are valid for a CBE in January 2018. Also Can you please tell me which Variant is easy and ideal to give Global or English?
Apologies if this has already been asked… I noticed you said lectures for Chapters 1 & 2 will be coming soon. Might this be before April/May 2018? I have my fingers crossed.
Hi sir, I am currently self studying F4, but I might not take the exam in this coming June 2017.. will the notes still be relevant for December 2017? Thank you
Eunike, if you want a response for a question, then post the question on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum ONLY and I shall get back to you
In future, please do not multiple post your questions and please also only post questions about the preceding lecture on the forum for that particular lecture

Hi, good day Sir. I was considering to watch your lectures and studying from bpp book side by side but the layout of index is totally different and ofcourse as a new student I have a little confusion in that . So could you please guide me referring the chapters ..
You shouldn’t really need the study text – but it is ESSENTIAL that you make extensive use of a revision kit / exam kit On the first time through the revision kit, be prepared to score only 20% or so
Second time through you should be up to 40% ish
Third time through you’re hitting 60% and from then on it’s just a question of what you are aiming for
Don’t write your attempted answers in the revision kit itself – have a separate piece of paper handy to write your answers on. That way you will not be influenced by your previous attempts when you come to that same question a third or fourth time
Put your study text in a dark room and then try to forget where you put it
Watch the lectures and read the course notes over and over again
And keep going back to that revision kit whenever you have 5 or 10 minutes to spare
And whenever you hit a problem, post your question on the F4 Ask ACCA Tutor page and I shall get back to you
(I don’t use any material from any of the publishers so it’s not feasible for me to give you cross-references from the course note chapters to the equivalent chapters in the study text)
They were removed in 2015 because you no longer need to remember the case names. You DO need the point of law and the story about the case hopefully makes the point of law easier to remember
No you don ‘t. These chapters may possibly be the subject of 2 questions (in aggregate, not each) in the F4 exam. There is enough material on this site for you to be confident of a comfortable pass … so long as you have also spent hours and hours endlessly practicing mcqs and mtqs, over and over again and again
Tip: Don’t write your guesses in the revision kit itself – write your efforts on a separate piece of paper
That way you can practice those questions multiple times without being affected by your previous efforts
I’m not sure that I understand the question, Zafeer
Are you asking whether a share may be issued for non-cash consideration – either fully non-cash or part cash and part non-cash?
Yes, any share may be issued on those terms
But if it’s a public company and it’s issuing shares for part or whole non-cash consideration, that consideration must be independently verified as having a fair value in excess of the nominal value of the shares issued + the whole of any attributable share premium
OK?

Hey guys! Is there any way to download these lecture videos in iPad? If it’s possible kindly guide me the way for it so that I can study offline too. Thank you!
Please advise me what is the best way to study F4? should i read the course notes then refer to the lectures or vice versa? and is there any particular order you would suggest going through the syllabus?
Thanks a lot from opentuition.com for providing these lecture! but i could not find the first chapter of F4 among these useful videos if you can add first chapter video that will be great
I think that, if you look a little way through this thread, you’ll see that the early chapters are left for self study. There’s not a lot of meat in these early topics and there are unlikely to be more than one question in an exam – it could be the case that there isn’t even one question!
There’s so many more topics within the syllabus where an exam question may be targeted that I really wouldn’t concern myself about these early omissions
Even the chapters on employment law and agency law are not extensive.
For these two areas practice on mcqs should be enough for you to collect enough information to approach questions in these chapters with growing confidence
Most islands in the Caribbean use the ENG variant. You can also check your MyAcca account on accaglobal.com to be sure which variant you should be taking.

Is this provided material enough for CBE Exam?
MikeLittle says
This material is the basis from which you can build but there is no substitute for endless hours of practicing answering mcqs and mtqs
You must acquire a revision kit / exam kit from a reputable publisher

i have start f4 paper but i couldn’t find the first,second and 3 chapters.
help please
thanks

Haseebullah, if you had read through some of the earlier posts you would have seen that you’re not the first to ask this same question!
Those first 3 chapters are easily self-studyable and we didn’t have time to record everything in the limited time on the course
If you come across a problem, post your question on the F4 Ask ACCA Tutor forum

Please advise.

MikeLittle says
Read the course notes – twice and follow the notes as you’re listening to the lectures
Then hit a revision kit / exam kit and do that, hour after hour, until your exam
DON’T mark your attempted answer in the revision kit itself – make a note of your answer on a separate piece of paper.
That way you can do the questions time and time again
And, of course, you can post any questions that you may have on this site Ask ACCA Tutor F4 page
