My exam got over but it shows launch exam on my acca.. is my paper submitted how do I know
December 11, 2020 at 11:58 am #599405@sephora1 – please see my numerous posts above referencing the “contact-us” recommendation
December 11, 2020 at 12:09 pm #599411Confirming got the same situation. And if I try to login to myACCA separately it tells me can’t login.
December 11, 2020 at 12:52 pm #599418Well ACCA have done it again, what a complete shambles!! Tried to log in this morning to take my FM exam, couldn’t even get to the login. Clicked on MyACCA and a website busy message appeared. Tried for an hour without success. Phoned ACCA and was told the server was “slightly down”. I’m no I.T expert, but “slightly down” really??? I was advised to keep trying and that eventually my invigilator would call me. That didn’t happen. With the check-in window closing in ten minutes I called ACCA again. Was told the I.T department were aware of the issue and someone would contact me or I could call back later…later, really? what a joke. After check-in time had passed I emailed ACCA. I received an automated email eventually stating that I could rebook, but of course that’s only if you can log into MyACCA, which I still couldn’t. Alternatively you could complete the online form or just call one of their helpful advisors…so I did…and I was told that he couldn’t re-book for me. So why say that in the email then?? The shambles continues….one hour after check in closes, I receive a text message with a link to access MyACCA. I log in and select the launch exam button, I admit this was extremely optimistic, but according to the SMS this was an option…but no, all hopes dashed…another message saying my check in has closed. So too little too late ACCA. So eventually after going round in circles for hours I have finally rebooked for next Friday. It’ll take me till then to get over the stress and upset from this morning. Can someone please tell me why ACCA offer remote exams if they haven’t got sufficient or adequate resources to provide them? I naively thought they had resolved the issues from earlier in the week. As for their apology, they have no idea just how much unnecessary stress, disappointment and frustration they have caused for the affected students, and “we’re sorry” just doesn’t cut it for me. My heart goes out to anyone who has to wait until March, clearly ACCA don’t realise that some students actually have to fit studies around real life!! If I have problems again next week I will be transferring to another accountancy body that is capable of actually supporting it’s students. Rant over. Best of luck to all who actually got to take exams 🙂
December 11, 2020 at 12:57 pm #599420That was the most stressful experience ever! Logged in fine but even at beginning there was a lagging issues, mouse was jumping everywhere, couldn’t open pdfs, for some bizarre reason I couldn’t multiply in excel?! Had to do the calculations on my calculator (haven’t done that in years!). All my practice was on excel. And took up more time, when lagging was happening too…
Half way through my exam went down and all the calculations I done prior were GONE!! After that I was just in a state of panic and I had serious cognitive fog. I say I attempted about 65 marks…
would love to see the recording of the exam- I don’t know how many times I was saying ‘it’s not working! Why is this not working?!’ and at one point after losing calculations I just cried!! The proctor told me via chat ‘to calm down!’December 11, 2020 at 1:22 pm #599424From what i can see ACCA will fail alot of us again just to make a point , in my opinion this is not fair at all . The moment you will start receiving them Learn Signal adverts and that lot just know as they have access to our results … Lost all the credibility with ACCA sadly
December 11, 2020 at 2:23 pm #599440Dear mwiser….Calm down..seriously? you poor thing, your experience definitely worse than mine. Have you submitted a complaint or tried to rebook to try again?
I would hound them for another go. Not much point in acca fixing the issues if they don’t do anything to prevent them from reoccurring!December 11, 2020 at 2:43 pm #599442mhgh wrote:Dear mwiser….Calm down..seriously? you poor thing, your experience definitely worse than mine. I would hound them for another go. Not much point in acca fixing the issues if they don’t do anything to prevent them from reoccurring!Yes, but will submit a more detailed one as I was just in a blind panic after the exam! I’ve done 10 CBE out of the 13 and I’ve never had issues with excel not recognising formulas? Threw me from the very beginning! Tested my computer after to make sure it wasn’t my keyboard and all was fine. How can they justify such issues??

I took my FM exam today at 5:00 pm and in the between, the connection got lost and I was not able to reconnect, did anyone faced the same issue ? was the ACCA site working properly today?
December 11, 2020 at 4:00 pm #599459it was a difficult paper especially question 2 was very confusing.
December 11, 2020 at 4:23 pm #599464I don’t see how acca could possibly justify anything, and after this fiasco how could anyone trust them?. And the actions of some of the invigilators from what I’ve read has been equally poor…some of them don’t seem to know the rules they’re supposed to ensure we follow. Its a Shame acca can’t put in the same amount of effort to facilitate exams, as we have to put in to pass them. Acca definitely failed this one.
December 11, 2020 at 4:37 pm #599470Please check the ACCA’s response to today’s problems

December 11, 2020 at 5:52 pm #599510Does anyone know where we could lodge an official complain against ACCA regarding this week’s exams sittings ? I went though the same thing in March and June. How long until they fix this “small issues” ?
December 11, 2020 at 5:56 pm #599515Also, don’t we deserve a partial refund for this year’s subscription based on the number of sittings we were allowed to attend ?
December 11, 2020 at 7:10 pm #599570This is exactly what happened to me too, same exam. The exam was fine until I pressed exit at the end, program was not responding and then crashed but browser lock and webcam was still on but no way of communicating with anyone so had to restart the computer. Myacca was down so couldn’t contact them to find out if my exam had been submitted, finally managed to email them and got a reply this morning, 4 days later, saying “it seems you have completed your exam. You shall receive a confirmation within 48 hours”.
December 11, 2020 at 8:24 pm #599587I was scheduled to take AFM this morning. All compatibility tests were completed before and went OK. I started the log-in process around 15 minutes before the time exam was scheduled. I was unable to upload any pictures to ProctorCam except the pictures of my driver’s license, and even that after multiple attempts (there were no options or buttons available except words “take your picture” and the “next” button). About 15 minutes after the time the exam was supposed to start someone appeared in the chat box and tried to log me in. Every time there was a “We are sorry, but something went wrong” message. I was doing it from my home desktop hard-wired to the Internet with no firewalls etc, the only apps running in the Task Manager were PearsonVue and Browser Lock. Then the chat disappeared and I was just left there sitting for about one hour. Then someone else appeared in the chat and asked me to re-start the process i.e. take the pictures etc. Then they tried to launch the exam with exactly the same result as before i.e. same error message. About 1.5 hours after the time the exam was scheduled I said, I have a laptop, maybe I should try to log in from my laptop. The person said OK, so I logged out and logged in from my laptop, but by that time it was over 15 minutes since my exam was scheduled to start, so I missed the window and had to cancel the exam. This is incredibly frustrating, as I took 2 months to prepare for the exam and 2 weeks off work for the final preparation.
ACCA should give the students who had technical issues through none of their fault to retake the exam on demand, because preparation takes an extraordinary amount of time which is completely wasted if you can’t take the exam.
I previously went through other exams that used lock-down software from other certifying bodies and never had a single issue. Maybe ACCA should change the provider.
December 12, 2020 at 12:51 pm #599691Sat the AFM exam remotely for the whole 3 hours then received an email from them today saying that my exam hasn’t been submitted… wtf (and I called them right after the exam to check it was submitted).
December 12, 2020 at 5:58 pm #599734@Tony I received the same email. Can’t believe it. What did they say to you when you called yesterday? Did your exam crash at any point?
December 12, 2020 at 9:07 pm #599738What was your exam sitting time?
Havn’t received any email but my exam finished during when their system was down – the end of exam was quite abrupt and no one from email / help / call is able to confirm whether my exam was submitted. Almostly feel like whoever told you your exam was submitted didn’t actually check….
December 12, 2020 at 9:15 pm #599740Wednesday morning. But I was never told that it was submitted.
December 12, 2020 at 9:26 pm #599741They just told me that she can only check on their system the next day or two, although the status on myACCA said it’s submitted.
Basically I had no issues until the exam finished and then the application just kept freezing up…
I had the exam on Friday 1pm.
December 12, 2020 at 11:19 pm #599749Where does it say submitted for you? All I can see on myACCA is ‘booked’ and next to it ‘withdrawal’.
What do you plan to do now? Seems that the only option is to sit it again in March which is absolutely ridiculous.
December 13, 2020 at 12:01 am #599750Guess everyone’s got different time zones – mine exam sitting was 5:30am-8:45am in GMT terms. Had tried emails etc. which none is even able to confirm whether exam’s submitted, but almost seems like trying to encourage you to withdraw it yourself so it’s no longter their issue.
December 13, 2020 at 8:15 am #599776I did exam and submitted at around 13 :30 gmt +3 . After the exam I checked from myacca. But now I got an email that due to technical problems, my email ewas terminated. They will give my credit DELETED
