Thank you open tuition and John, I love your lecturer. I did P4 because I enjoyed your F9 lecture and passed with ease. P4 is a different story, it’s a lot more challenging, I struggled throughout and probably spent 200 hrs more or less on P4 (not naturally good at numbers) and was not confident in the exam, luckily, I scraped through and I am done for all exams. For the option paper advice, I personally think P7 is easier than P4 in terms of studying time and difficulty, I spent 100 hrs more or less on p7 and got the same result as p4. P7 is a very wordy paper and i really don’t like writing, so practicing pass papers was a torture for me. p4 is definitely more interesting but a lot tougher. Good luck to everyone who is going to sit ACCA exam in June.

December 9, 2016 at 10:16 pm #362859For me, p1 is easier and more straightforward. it takes a lot longer to learn the models and apply them to the scenario for P3.
December 8, 2016 at 9:41 pm #362460Does anyone remember how many marks on the last part of question 1, change mangement etc? I didn have time to go back to do the question 🙁
July 18, 2016 at 1:56 pm #32714163% thank you John and open tuition. Dont give up if you failed, its a very tough exam, practise as many pass papers as you can. I must have done more than 150 study hours. Good luck!
April 18, 2016 at 1:52 pm #311278Passed with 70, thank you open tuition!!
March 9, 2016 at 10:51 pm #305022I have my watch on my desk and check the time for each question. 10 mark question will be 18mins, I write very fast when I notice time is almost run out for each question. I normally manage to finish over 90%of whole paper. The remaining is the question I don’t have an answer.
March 8, 2016 at 5:53 pm #304464Compare to F7 exam in Dec, F8 was not as demanding and mentally strained than F7. The only complain is my thumb hurts due to constantly writing. Now will wait for the result and move on to F9.
January 18, 2016 at 12:41 am #29521363 can’t believe it, thought I would fail. Next exam is f8 in March!
December 9, 2015 at 11:02 pm #289995Does anyone know if open tuition is going to publish the exam answer like they did for F5 back in June?

I had the same thoughts for the 3k in the reduction of the warranty provision. But as the question was about die effect on p/l I wrote Credit 3k.
–> Old amount of prov.: 90
–> New amount of prov.: 87
–> Hence you credit 3k to p/l (by reducing the provision and therefore reducing the expense).
–> P/L will be higher by the amount of 3k.I hope you are right as I had the same answer 🙂
October 19, 2015 at 12:30 am #277171Passed with 67%, very happy. Next exam f7.
September 10, 2015 at 10:24 pm #271149The mcqs were tough, it took me almost an hour to finish, because I was losing so much time so I found it very stressful. The 10 and 15 mark questions were quite straightforward.
August 1, 2015 at 9:11 pm #264499Passed with 53%, thought I would get 60% never mind.. Moving onto taxation for sept sitting.
June 2, 2015 at 10:24 pm #252208Thanks John, the suggested answer is very helpful. I was worried I made lots of errors but I think I did okay 🙂
