The examiners report is out for SBL. I just read it and I think is not harsh like the September one. I know you will make it because I read your comment at the SBL December exams feedback and it seems it is in line with the report.lets hope we all make it madamFingers crossed we all passed. I thought the paper was fair but don’t wan to get my hopes up until I get the official result..
January 11, 2019 at 6:41 pm #500890Where can you find the examiners reports? Has anyone seen the examiners report for SBL?
January 10, 2019 at 7:34 pm #500711I wrote SBL, hopefully my last ever exam!
January 10, 2019 at 6:44 pm #500688I saw M earlier and can log in to the link where I see grey&white page..does this mean I’m likely to have passed? Don’t want to get my hopes up too high before I see the actual result..
December 5, 2018 at 6:28 pm #487679You don’t need to use a model unless it’s specifically stated in the question. I didn’t use a model for 1 a) or b) but realize on reflection that the points I made were in line with PESTLE, Porters Diamond and SAF. Unless the question tells you to use a model I prefer not to as tend to come up with more ideas by just using the info in the case and common sense.
October 15, 2018 at 12:59 am #478168Passed 51 % first attempt self-study. A bit too close for comfort but it was a hard exam so really happy 🙂

Full-time self-study should be doable but as you were exempt from F8 I would strongly recommend that you attempt the F8 CBE Specimen or one of the full exams (S16 or D16) to assess your level of assumed knowledge. Nearly all of F8 is relevant to AAA and I wouldn’t recommend starting on studying audit at a higher level until you’ve checked your underpinning knowledge. If you seem to have significant gaps at least work through the flashcards https://opentuition.com/acca/f8/acca-f8-flashcards-set-1/ (there are 4 sets) to identify those areas that you will need to pay particular attention to.Thank you. That’s very useful!

Hi Gabriella,Yes I think this is very doable as there is a good bit of overlap between P2 and P7. I self-studied this module for 8 weeks and got a pass (and I had not yet attempted P2 so I had little knowledge of the accounting standards).
I think time management is the most important thing in P7, so I would advise you to spend a few weeks going through the course content then get straight into the past papers! Good luck.
Thanks for the advice. Meant to say that I have already watched online lectures and skimmed through most of the text book. Plan to get stuck in to the exam kit and past papers next week.
July 17, 2018 at 3:46 pm #463507Hi everyone
I’m planning to sit P7 in September and do it self-study full-time. This gives me just under 7 weeks. I got exempt from F8 but passed P2 in June. Would you say this is do-able?

Lots of people were saying this straight after the exam and many struggled with question 1. I think it was either easier to get marks than we thought or they were a bit generous with it.Yes I think you can pick up easy method marks in this paper. Question 1 really threw me!!
July 16, 2018 at 1:02 am #462733Passed with 62 %, totally shocked as I genuinely thought I’d failed. Was getting ready to re sit!!!
July 16, 2018 at 1:00 am #462727Passed 58 %!!! So happy 🙂 I got an exemption for F7 so found this paper very difficult.
July 15, 2018 at 12:55 pm #462434Guys can someone please explain step by step how to view the results from December 2017 email?
