Hi,
Have you already gone through the text or notes/letures on opentuition? If yes then attempt questions under ‘advanced investment appraisal’ then ‘M&A’ and so on. If I had to resit the exam then I would first go for ‘M&A’ questions because I found it difficult, the rest was okay for me, including derivates questions. Actually the lectures by John for treasury/derivates section are really good.
If you havent read the text or opentuition notes/lectures. Then go through each section and then attempt the questions rather than completing the entire text/notes/lectures and then attempting the question.
Please also attempt the mock exams included in the kit as these have some new ‘areas/topics’ which the examiner seems to be testing recently.
I hope this helps.

October 24, 2020 at 7:44 pm #593045@Zumur I had the same feeling when sat for CBE for the first time. If you have time then solve all the revision kit questions in microsoft excel and then re do on the acca cbe practice platform. There is not enough space on practice platform to do all the revision kit questions thats why suggestion for first doing on microsoft excel. Buy a keyboard and a mouse if you have a laptop, thats what i did as i sat for the exam in an exam centre.
October 24, 2020 at 7:27 pm #593043check accountancytube.com, also channel on youtube with same name. Besides that Kaplan text for advanced taxation is very good.
October 19, 2020 at 1:22 pm #590478@SheilaaC used kaplan kit as study text and bpp kit to practice past questions. attempt questions from bpp kit at least twice (including mock exams at the end of the kit). You can start attempting the questions in kit while you complete the chapters from text. Please do watch the lectures available on this site, i even viewed F9 lectures to review the basics/fundamentals for e.g. for dividend valuation model because this is used in AFM to value a company. Specially the lectures on foreign and interest rate hedging are really good. Would have been in trouble if there were no such lectures related to these areas on opentuition. Personally i found acquisition area to be complex so if I would have to do it again I would focus on that because its my weak area. Also go through the technical articles, they are important, the last article was on basis risk so this will probably come in December. You can also refer to the comments by vapiano91 on https://opentuition.com/topic/my-personal-tips-for-passing-p4/
October 19, 2020 at 11:35 am #590424@aw77 But thats not your problem, the issue is on their part. Its their responsibility to ensure that the systems are in place before rolling out CBEs. Ask them whats the guarantee that it will not happen next time? It’s not just about money, the amount of effort/time you must have put in is more important in here.
October 19, 2020 at 10:23 am #590360@catsarah where did you sit for the exam? If its convenient for you then next time you can sit at ‘The exam centre’ which is near the spire (dublin city centre). They have very good google reviews too.

October 17, 2020 at 1:30 pm #589518I am surprised ACCA have not issued any statement regarding the email and we heard confirmation in here/PQ magazine. It talks about mental health and does not care what students must be going through. Seems it does not have any incident response plan to deal with situations like this
