    Guys, it seems many of us messed question 5, as we forgot to deduct scarp from capital cost. Also, remember, we should have done balancing allowance in the last yer. But dont worry, still we get partial credit for workings : D

    ROE is calculated after tax not before tax. Option D is correct.

    I don’t think venture capital can be a financial intermediatory? Did u get this from somewhere?

    I thought venture capitalist invest their own capital so r not intermediators?

    Ventury capital is type of institutional investor, and the book says that institutional investors are intermediaries

    Guys, in bpp they mention institutional investors as interemdiaries, and then they mention venture capital firms as a type of institutional investors

    You are probably right. I had a preconceived idea that a financial intermediary was a firm who worked as a middleman between those borrowing..

    Regardless, it’s a silly question IMO

    There was one point in mcq: zero beta of debt understates financial risk during gearing. I think it is wrong, as beta of debt is used in calculation of asset beta, asset beta is ungearing and asset beta reflects only business risk

    I think it was correct. Money market deposits are in form of loans
