MCQ’s I thought were ridiculously hard. I didn’t cover the syllabus well enough.
Q4 I messed up, the others were okay though.

Whether I pass is how good my guessing has been on MCQ’s

I got 3900 something, think I messed my sales up.

FRA better by 700 got 310,000 something.

Factoring was worthwhile, big saving on finance cost as well as bad debts and admin.

    So, my answers:

Question 1: accept forward, both of them were 310000 and smth, the difference was very small thought.

Question 2: using dividend, price was 9.71; using yield, price was 10.5 or smth like that

Question 3: factor was viable, benefit of 87000 and smth

Question 4 : my working were good, although i forgot to divide new earnings by increased number of shares, that was my only mistake

    Question 5: npv was positive

For the company it would cost over a million to do it.messed up the finance saving of the factor though. Took the receivables the company x 80 x 9 and x20 x 7

Seems as though you’ve got it!

Q1 I got 310,000 something and explained pros and cons of FRA
Q2… Went a little wrong hopefully get method marks, what about explanation?
    Q3: 87,000 seems right I think,
Q4: didn’t really understand, blagged a few calc marks, what about explanation of capital structure?
Q5: NPV of 3900 something, explained sensitivity analysis

new earnings?? weren’t the proceeds of rights issue used to redeem the loan, therefore earnings remained the same, only the number of shares increased??

the total expected SPwas 29 but you still had to calculate separate for the weak and strong economy and after that comment as well, i remember doing a similar question from past papers as well because that total expected expected SP is unrealistic
