Hi. Q1 instead of taking 360 days, I did my calculations on 365 days. Will I loose marks?

If you mean Q3 in Section B, then yes you lose marks because the question specifically said to assume 360 days in a year.

However I would be very surprised if it lost you more than 1 mark (provided your workings were neat enough for the marker to see what you were doing).

    In section B question 2.b I can’t remember product or divide 13.84 by 8.2 %
is it possible to get 0.5 marks as I take correct sides but product them? instead of divide?
I count and my average mark in section B is 28-30 , So I need at least 11 correct from 20 in section A, So please bethink as many questions As we could ,
    Lets try our Best

The MCQ’s have this funny pattern: They give you time consuming one followed by a piece of cake! Any one noticed this in the exam? I was laughing inside

I chose A for MCQ1, so did quite a few others going by previous posts.

Does anyone know how many of the MCQ’s were calculations, was it half or slightly more? I’m confident I got most of the calculation ones right, but not confident on the theory MCQ’s.

Babajide: Please do read the earlier posts! The ACCA are no longer releasing the Section A multiple choice questions (or the answers). Since I cannot see the questions, I cannot provide suggested answers to them. That is why we have only uploaded suggested answers to the Section B questions.

Was it acceptable to use the earnings formula that incorporated growth?

    Market Value = Earnings (1+g)/(EY-g)

I guess there was no mention of an expectation of growth in earnings. sigh

I think the section A 40 marks multiple choice is too much of marks due to multiple choice are rather tricky and if no answer are correct possibility of failing the exams, maybe 20 marks seems reasonable.
