Sindy, I have just gone on myACCA and it’s changed from Graduate pending member’ to ‘Member’. I am officially a member and can use the letters. The long journey is finally over for me.
For future reference to people reading this.
Applied for membership: 30/07/18
Graduate pending membership: 01/08/18
Member: 03/08/18August 1, 2018 at 1:07 pm #465537On the previous page jwanyu became a member on Friday 27th April. ACCA’s website says that the committee meets every two weeks. If this is correct then we should both become members on Friday 3rd August.
August 1, 2018 at 12:58 pm #465535Just got my email. myACCA has now changed to ‘Graduate pending member’. Not quite members yet but hopefully should be this week. Email did say up to 10 working days.
August 1, 2018 at 11:06 am #465524That’s brilliant, Congrats 🙂
myACCA still says Affiliate (at the top) but my e-business tracking page, status of application has changed to: ‘Application complete- awaiting transfer to member’
Hopefully it means i’m not going to be far behind you.
August 1, 2018 at 9:04 am #465504Hi sindypanda,
I applied on the 30th July like yourself.I haven’t had any confirmation from ACCA about my application.
I went on myACCA and clicked ‘Track the progress of your application’ which takes me to the e-business page. It then says it was received on 30th July but when I click on the ‘To view application related correspondence click here’, on that page the date received is blank. Is this the same for you?
From having a quick read the majority of people seem to become members on a Friday. As we applied on a Monday it gives them a week to look through our application so hopefully will be this Friday.
April 16, 2018 at 12:22 am #446897Managed to get 56% on my third attempt. I am so happy, I was certain I had failed the exam miserably with like 30% and i’m usually pretty good at telling how I do in the exam.
Just for future reference to other people and the people here now. The link theory worked and the e-business page had the tick box and member type was M. I don’t think this is a coincidence and it does annoy me that ACCA hasn’t fixed this yet. It has caused me and many others on here anxiety for the past few days.
Congrats to everybody else that has passed and if you failed them keep your head held up high and go again in June you can do it.
April 15, 2018 at 11:58 pm #446826Good luck everybody.

Just getting my self ready for worst.I’ve been where you are and it’s not nice. This is my third time as a finalist. The first two times nothing changed and i got down about it. This time i have the tick box and i can get through to the grey myACCA page which gives me a bit of hope. But i came out the exam thinking i had failed miserably with like 30% so for the last 5 weeks i’ve thought i’ve failed.
Luckily only 79 hours and 55 minutes to now for sure, but hey who’s counting down the minutes

Since majority can access I can’t so I would say 90% chances are I am failed.Keep the faith. It’s not a 100% certain, nobody will truly know till monday. But as you say 90% seem to have the tick box, 90% is a high percentage of people to have passed so it may not be a certainty this time

@ematete2005 , @rhyscallely is right; if you had read through the past threads properly you would see “S vs M” is not new. But I don’t think he meant “lie”, maybe he meant you should not be so careless with the facts and misinform forumers. @tj200 also pointed out “S” would result in a different webpage appearence to “M”, so probably not necessary to go to the extent of checking the source codes.Hi balleong,
Ye i was wrong i thought that the S vs M thing was new as i hadn’t attempted it myself in the last sitting but i do remember trying the e-business and hoping for a tick box to appear. As for my thinking that the pages would be different for S or M people i dont know if that is true just a guess. I’m not sure why our membership type is loaded onto the change password page though.

For some of them its already showing, is this second link theory about ‘S’ & ‘M’ is new thing? if you were following previous exam threads did anyone passed despite showing S in link ?I mentioned this on the last page. The ‘S’ VS ‘M’ thing is new. But i think its only new due to people not trying to see it. Seeing the tick box has previously meant a pass. But as i keep mentioning ACCA may have changed things so the tick box may mean nothing now. We will only know for sure on Monday.
Going off what has previously happened in the last few sittings i am pleased that I can see the tick box but i was certain that i had failed this exam so it is a bit strange.
What is new is the link theory takes you to an ACCA page that resembles the usual student area where you book exams. It used to just show a grey screen i believe (link theory has very hit and miss though so should not be relied upon).

Could it be the case that not all result updated yet and may take some time to appear for others?Yes i remember during the December results, results were being uploaded throughout the Thursday. It seems early in the day to see the tick box on e business anyway. I thought it started to appear around lunch time UK time.

Interesting theories now.
If these are all the same theories used in previous years, then I doubt it means anything. Cod I was following closely the Dec 2017 results discussion and some people had errors with the link theory but did pass their exams when results were out.The one that’s intriguing to me is the e-business ‘S’ vs ‘M’
Is this a new theory or is it one of the previous theories?I have follewed Septembers and Decembers results countdown threads. The ‘S’ vs ‘M’ is a new theory but it is probably linked with the tick box on the first page. The webpage will load differently when the membership type says ‘M’ to when it says ‘S’
The link theory is a weird one and it was always hit and miss from what i remember. The more solid one is the e-business tick box. Previously if you’ve seen the tick box you have passed and if you couldn’t see it you hadn’t passed. But i want to emphasise that this may not be the case this sitting ACCA may have changed things. The tick boxes could all dissapear or some that aren’t showing now will show later on. It seems pretty early in the day for results to be uploaded to be honest.

I can’t see any of the things above on the ebusiness site or black and white background on first link.I am a finalist but I haven’t had my PER’s signed off yet. I doubt any of these theories are real though…Don’t think ACCA would be so sloppy in this day and age
I love a good theory. But it is just that, a theory. We will only know for sure on Monday. I wish you the best of luck for monday.
For my last two attempts at my final paper the page didn’t change. I feel like, the tick box is a good sign but we don’t know what ACCA have/are doing behind the scenes. They will know about this theory and may have already fixed it some how.
I really wish they would get rid of all these bugs/potential hints cause i think it makes people worry for longer. I am now nervous about my results but previously i would only get nervous on the day they were released.
April 12, 2018 at 9:04 am #446301Wow i logged into e-business and i see the tick box for the finalists list and the S has changed to an M. I really hope ACCA aren’t trolling us and have set all finalists to this so nobody get a hint whether they had passed or not.
I took P7 for the 3rd time and was pretty certain i’d failed so this is a pretty big shock.
Do any finalists not see the tick box when they log into the e-business page?
March 6, 2018 at 3:55 pm #440693Pretty sure Q3 had 4 scenarios .
Only reason I did Q3 was because I had 20 minutes left and it looked like the easier question (out of Q3 & Q5) to pick up marks on. Hopefully I was right.

where was pfi ?
PFI was Q2b can’t remember how many marks it was worth though
March 5, 2018 at 5:53 pm #440418I didn’t think the questions were that hard but i seriously struggled with time. I started with Q3 Ethics and then did Q2 Client Due dilligence and PFI. Think i did quite well with those but then I only had 75 minutes to do Q1 and Q4 which was never going to be enough so i ended up not having enough time to properly think my answers through.
I’m pretty sure I’ve failed this one, for the third time and its my final paper. I have never struggled like this with any other paper. Its just so frustrating.
Good luck to everybody
January 11, 2018 at 12:35 pm #428430Well said Mo. We will all know for sure on Monday.
I think that people should be able to talk about theories to a reasonable extent. The e-business theory seemed to work in September as everybody who saw members@ passed. So people talking about this one seems reasonable.
Asking what email address an automatic email got sent from I don’t think is reasonable. So please can people stop pestering others regarding this.
It would seem that ACCA have fixed the issue with the e-business so I think the only option is to wait now.
Good luck everybody
December 5, 2017 at 10:01 am #420615December 4, 2017 at 11:29 pm #420453I am a finalist So I got 44% in September and knew i’d failed when walking out. I feel like this exam went better.
I started with Q4 ethics think I did really well on that question.
I then moved onto Q1 where I think I mentioned enough to pick up some decent marks but I was starting to run out on time I think I had 75 minutes to do Q2 and the other optional question. I did Q2 to the best of my ability no clue how that one went.
Usually I always for for the most common optional questions but this time I did Q3 instead of Q5. I had 20 minutes left and just went for as many marks as possible. I thought Q3 with KPI’s and evidence was straight forward.
Felt good walking out the exam. Every time i’ve walked out an exam i’ve known whether I had passed or not. Fingers crossed this is my last exam. I’m feeling relatively confident 🙂
October 16, 2017 at 12:31 am #411429Failed first attempt got 44%
As I gave myself 6 weeks to learn P1 and P7 on my own. I’m not too disappointed with the result. Got 68% on P1. Just need to pass P7 in December to become and affiliate.
Link theory was correct for me. Would like to know if anybody with a members@acca… email address on the e business site failed though?
Congrats Elaine.
October 12, 2017 at 2:17 pm #410563Good luck to you too Lolo. As the link theory hasn’t worked 100% of the time we can hold out hope. I just feel as though i’ve got no chance as i’m waiting on two results. Hopefully you can get a pass on your 2nd attempt.
October 12, 2017 at 12:43 pm #410543Ye i’m in the UK. I’m waiting on P1 and P7. As long as I pass P1 I don’t mind. I self taught myself both modules in 6 weeks so it was always going to be tight. But feel like I spent so much time on P7 that it affected my P1 exam.
What result/s are you waiting on? I pressume you are also a finalist?
