Dear Mr. Garrett,
Thank you.
November 16, 2017 at 2:07 pm #416096The best thing is to compare past mock exams with the following real exams. It does not appear that there is any correlation between the two. the value of a mock exam is for us to practice under exam condition and readjust ourselves before the real exam. Best regards.

Thank you for answering my question as well.
Regards.
October 16, 2017 at 9:29 pm #412022Dear colleague,
I am in the same boat. I failed with a mark of 30, after that for two times I had fails of 48. My thought, just now, is to rise up and walk. But how to walk? Yes, we have to think of what was wrong in our preparation, what was wrong with our attitude, energy, enthusiasm, and of course hard work.
One of the things that frustrates me is that the ACCA, and the authorised revision kits, are significantly long, with a good purpose of educating us, of course. However, one of the training gaps I find is that we do not have enough guidance on how to answer this significantly time-pressured exam, and in the same time obtaining optimal marks.I regret that I did not give you an answer. However, I am sharing my experience of P3, hoping that this would lead us to a pass finally.
September 12, 2017 at 1:14 pm #407327The paper was doable. But only in more time.
September 11, 2017 at 5:21 pm #407257I have the same headache of a problem.
September 1, 2017 at 9:54 am #404821Thank you.
July 26, 2017 at 1:04 pm #398772Dear colleague,
I understand your painful feeling very well. I failed P3 with 48 marks and asked for an Administrative Review. They just told me that ACCA’s procedure for issuing marks includes lots of checks and balances and confirmed those 48 marks. The only worthy information is that they told me which questions I passed and which question I failed. Now, thank God, I passed P6 MLA, which gave me a really hard time, and now I intend to sit for P3 again next September. We need to work loads of past papers. I wish you all the very best, and hope that both you and I, and of course all our P3 colleagues that this time we’ll do it. Best regards and keep courage.
February 27, 2016 at 5:32 pm #302339Also, I want to find time to do at least a few mock exams to consolidate.
February 27, 2016 at 7:01 am #302276Dear Gromit,
Thank you for your continuous support.
In order to cover as many questions as possible, I am trying to answer most in point form, or when under more than usual time pressure make question plans, plus a few full essay type questions. This has its risks, but I’m trying to ‘break even’ between doing full essays and covering as many questions I can, within the limited time I have.

August 11, 2015 at 1:31 pm #266725Congrats & thank you for the encouragement for next time.
June 10, 2015 at 8:05 pm #256181I lost much time struggling with section b that affected the rest of the exam. It appears that the style of the exam is somewhat changing little by little, and the skew towards the fine-tunings of the syllabus appear to be on the increase.

January 6, 2015 at 1:56 pm #222042Only few people can write with both hands. But I wish I could do this!!! Practicing may be the nearest approximation to your solution!!! Time management and concentration, of course, are crucial for us, again gained by active and intelligent practice.
December 18, 2014 at 9:28 am #221059Dear P3 colleagues,
I would appreciate if anyone could send me the Dec 14 mock exams, since I am afraid that I failed this exam and intend to continue studying before the results are issued. My e-mail address is: xandrija.bhgr@gmail.com . Thank you very much.December 10, 2014 at 5:42 pm #220054The part of Question 3 concerning risk management, is part of the syllabus, but if I am correct, this has not been examined for a significant number of years. This area seems to be b/f from P1 and P7. The problem was not the knowledge but the exam practice or the lack of it, with regards to this area.
September 16, 2014 at 6:49 pm #195184Dear Gromit,
Thank you.September 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm #195139I appreciate that we can update our 2013 text books with the OT P3 lectures.
On the other hand however, practicing on past papers or revision kits might not cover the new areas. Furthermore, no new technical articles were issued yet. So, we still have the risk of focusing only on the theory related to the new subject areas.
Can we have guidance on this issue please?
Thanks.
November 29, 2012 at 10:08 am #109155To clarify my point, I highlight the answer after that I attempt to answer the question.
Thank you.March 17, 2012 at 6:39 pm #93306Dear tutor, Thank you for your guidance.
March 15, 2012 at 8:28 pm #94618As far as I know there are changes in some topics such as IAS 19 – Employee benefits. In fact I am trying to find how I can update my Dec 11 BPP P2 text book and notes. I am not sure whether the OT P2 lectures are updated in this regard.
RegardsMarch 9, 2012 at 8:31 pm #94691In the Summary of changes to Paper P2, Corporate Reporting (INT) and (UK) found by linking to: <https://www2.accaglobal.com/pubs/students/publications/student_accountant/archive/sa_oct11_study_guides.pdf> , page 7 it is stated that, “There have not been any additions or deletions to the 2011 Study Guide for 2012. However, there have been minor amendment to the wording of some of the study guide outcomes corresponding to changes within examinable
documents. Can anyone explain what are the changes within examinable documents please?
Thanks
September 14, 2011 at 7:11 pm #85560Dear Gromit,
Thank you for the reply above since I had the same problem, especially since I am also preparing for P2.
The only remaining difficulty is the new bit of the syllabus, since it is difficult to find relevant past papers, if not going through the F5 Revision Kit. Guidance on which questions in the said revision kit is not that available.Thank you.
May 19, 2011 at 7:43 pm #81832Hi,
