    Finally passed, 6th attempt 53%.
I felt like giving up so all that failed please keep going.
I really struggled with my writing skills. The difference between fail and pass for me was to keep my answers short, to the point and no waffle. I missed out huge sections of questions and still passed! I used a mixture of open tuition and videos on Vimeo from ACCA Pakistan exam approach webinars, and how all the subjects link together and which models to use. I also practised exam questions as my exam revision the last 6 weeks of revision. For me it was structuring my answer and using ‘buzz’ words to help me formulate an answer.

Good luck to all who are retaking!

Passed 53% on my 3rd attempt. What I did differently was just to use the senario and practise, realised I didn’t really write anything knowledge wise. Made sure I answered something in all sections and made sure I didn’t run out of time, hope this will help in the future.

I finally passed f8 getting 54%, in December I failed with 49%. I worked on my English and writing technique, for me this was the difference between marginal fail and pass.

Disaster! MCQ not too bad, but all the main questions, I struggled with the interpretation of the questions then had a melt down. Not happy as I had to drive 400 miles round trip to nearest exam centre and a hotel … Headless to say I am gutted.

I found section A very hard and guessed alot of the answers.
Section B, there was no WACC which I thought would be there!.
Qu1 Currency – I put by using the forward rate they would receive more $
Qu NPV – I got 29 and inflated the sales year on year. Positive result
Qu Factoring company – Costs were the annual fee, then the factoring costs, I put 2% * ((7% – 5%, costs of interest for each company) 30/360 * sales invoices and it resulted in a small net benefit
    Qu business valuation – unsure
