Passed!!! I’m over the moon right now. Finally I can cross ACCA off my checklist and go on to bigger and better things. Congratulations to all who passed and to those that did not make it, don’t give up. For those attempting this paper in the future pay attention to the theory bits as they are relatively straightforward. The computation bits will set you back so don’t aim to get it perfect. Show your workings but don’t be too caught up with the final answer. As long as your workings make sense and demonstrate your thought process, it’s all good.
June 9, 2017 at 5:26 pm #392262I ran overtime on q1, did the theory bits first and then proceed to the numbers which I feel really get u sucked in. Then did q4 and proceeded with q2 attempted the theory bits barely did the numbers. I’m really crossing my fingers for a pass. Even a marginal one will do at this point. Anything more is a bonus really. This paper has been standing in the way of my membership and I still haven’t quit.

Almosthome,Pls, don’t give up. You can make it.
Rise up and put the failure behind you and look ahead.
Read and you will know that great people who have been successful failed in their field of endeavour many times.
The difference between a successful person and failed person is that while a failed person gives up along the way, a successful person will refuse to give up and will be motivated to try again.
Almosthome, try again and I can assure you that you will also smile.
God wants you to pass and you will pass if you try again.
It is well.
Thank you for such reassuring words. I’ve been at a loss for words since the receiving the results but I will pick myself up once more and try again. I’ll take solace in passing p7, at least thats one out of the way 🙂

Don’t give up now, you’re so close! You’ve obviously got a lot of the basic knowledge having done it 5 times so stick to past papers and see how the examiner structures the answer. Also, in the exam I answered the smaller questions first and got them out the way so I could then focus on the big questions.
Still didn’t get a great mark but it was enough. This exam was tough with none of the major topics being covered, but probably means they’ll be in it next time.
thank you for your advice! noticed you sat for p7 as well. i was expecting to fail p7 and pass p4 but the opposite happened. back to the drawing board now. for p7 you may want to checkout accowtancy.com their materiel helped me heaps.
April 17, 2017 at 8:25 am #381964bummed at the thought of resitting this paper for the 5th time. anyone got any advice for me, on the verge of throwing in the towel. its the only thing standing in between my membership 🙁
April 17, 2017 at 2:06 am #381797must be the only one who failed again ?

January 18, 2017 at 3:02 pm #368187I worked on the bpp revision kit along with past papers. I focused on both numerical and theory aspects of the questions I worked on.
I watched your free lectures and the 3 question 1’s. I suppose I have to get a new Revision kit and start working questions once more ?October 31, 2016 at 8:13 am #346794My apologies John! Thank you for the advice.
October 20, 2016 at 7:43 am #345106Thank you Mike for your reply. I shall spend the next 10 days revising the videos again to refresh my memory and purchase a different revision kit to practice question to time. I hope that I will make it in December.
October 20, 2016 at 6:17 am #345098I failed too although I was pretty confident of passing 🙁
